Amen.
I’m sorry for the people that are unemployed. But 2 years of benefits out of my pocket are over the top. My taxes this year were outlandish, and my accountant said to plan on at least 15K more next year. I can’t afford all my new dependents, and don;t get to write them off! Now I get to figure out where to take another 1250/month out of the budget to give to uncle sam!

Unemployment benefits terminate after 6 months during normal economic conditions.

This isnt normal economic conditions. There are 6 candidates for every open job. The average laid off worker is jobless for 8 months.

When the jobs start coming back, then we can start milking people off the system. Until then, talking about cutting off unemployment benefits is a losing issue, politically.

Yup.

What did you and your family have to eat today - if you don't mind me asking?

It makes me sad to read how out of touch you are.
