Being self-employed and screwed out of any benefit when my work disappeared — I don’t give a s!!t.
Stop paying folks not working with my tax money.

You know dat. I’ve been an employer for 30 years. That means I have had to pay in to the unemployment fund on my salary for 30 years. It also means that since I am the owner I have ALWAYS been ineligible to collect benefits.
There is no reason that unemployment benefits hae to go on for two years. As an employer I pay 11% of wages into the fund. That is money out of my pocket. The 11% rate will surely increase now that the fund is bankrupt.
But I can just raise my prices to offset the cost, right? /s
No body likes a self-employed complainer - get back to your 80 hour week, pay your damn taxes, pay for your damn $15k/year health care, and don’t even think about setting aside savings - the unions want your 401k - you selfish workaholic you!
Amen.
I’m sorry for the people that are unemployed. But 2 years of benefits out of my pocket are over the top. My taxes this year were outlandish, and my accountant said to plan on at least 15K more next year. I can’t afford all my new dependents, and don;t get to write them off! Now I get to figure out where to take another 1250/month out of the budget to give to uncle sam!
