Schwarzenegger calls Texas oil companies 'greedy'
SacBee: Capitol Alert ^ | 4/13/10 | Kevin Yamamura

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Tuesday rebuked oil companies Valero and Tesoro for financing an effort to suspend the state's greenhouse gas reduction law, labeling the companies "greedy."

The governor made his remarks during a press conference on the Capitol's east steps to promote the plug-in hybrid Chevrolet Volt.

Valero, based in San Antonio, Texas, has given $500,000 so far toward a signature-gathering drive to suspend Assembly Bill 32, the 2006 law requiring California to roll back greenhouse gas emissions 25 percent by 2020. Tesoro, also based in San Antonio, has contributed $100,000.

This state needs to split into at least four separate states. It is way too big as one.

Greed isn’t me deciding what I should do with my money.

Greed is you deciding what I should do with my money.

I never thought I’d feel bad for a refinery, but if you drive a car, you gotta feel bad for these guys. Everybody hates them, they have relentless enviro attacks going on against them, they cannot upgrade or downgrade or sideways grade without massive enviro reports. They make crappy profits. Possibly the worst business out there.

I think it’s time to suspend operations in California. Turn off the gas. Let them walk.

Hey California! Our governor has better hair than your governor, his wife's hotter, and he's going to get re-elected!

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you’re stupid than to open it and remove all doubt

Valero and Tesoro?

Guess I know where I’ll be buying all my gas from now on.

And BTW, FU Arnold.

The oil companies are just looking out for the little guy, which is me, since I pay their costs of doing business at the gas pump.

Its obvious that Arnold is not looking out for me. It doesn’t bother him if I pay more for gas, or Valero doesn’t expand their operations in California.

You know, when people hate the folks who bring them their fuel, and support the people who tax them and bankrupt their state, there just isn’t much you can do for people like this. If you can, move your factory to another state. Locate your business where people want you.

I always thought Cali should be at least split in half, even when I lived there. How would you like the California voters having 4 senators?
I figured North Cal would be a little more normal, at least if you could cede the San Fran part to the Chinese.

The true split would be into East and West the lenght of the State.
West = Liberal; East = Conservative.

Schwarzenegger is up to his neck in energy corruption, not with the oil companies, but with the major stockholders.
