President Obama on Wednesday dismissed Arizona's tough new anti-immigration law as a "shortcut'' that will merely inflame the immigration debate "instead of solving the problem.''
In an impromptu session in the back of his plane with reporters, Obama described the Arizona law as a product of "people's frustrations about the border.''
Though the president sympathized in part, saying we now have "hundreds of thousands of people coming in'' who are "not playing by the rules,'' he said Arizona has chosen the wrong approach.
The law, signed last week by Gov. Jan Brewer, makes it a state crime to be in Arizona illegally and requires police to check suspects for immigration paperwork. It also bars people from soliciting work or hiring day laborers off the street.
"What I think is a mistake is when we start having local law enforcement officials empowered to stop people on the suspicion that they may be undocumented workers …'' the president said. Such hard-line remedies are an affront to the nation's values, he said.
Asked if his Administration might try to mitigate the Arizona law in some way, Obama said: "We're examining it now.''

He’s never enforced anything...I don’t see him doing anything about Arizona...He’s a limp wristed little girly boy...The reason he’s mad is the states are now taking it upon themselves to take care of business. I think we are seeing a portend of things to come as far as Bama is concerned.

That’s kind of the way I see it, he never did have deep regard for LAW, he always skirted around it, and tried to get what ever it was he wanted. What is written, CODES, Contracts, Mortgages, Pacts, Charters, it’s just paper. He belives in a rule of force, of the PEOPLE, but not the rule of law..

To which I say GOOD!!! Flame away!!! In fact, all this has done is ignite the fuse. The flame has just begun to burn. We have had enough.
There's only 2 choices, enforce the law or not, and Arizona passed a law to enforce the law which Obama says is wrong. I think Obama refusing to enforce the law is self explanatory.
