Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Thursday diverged from her Tea Party base and endorsed ex-Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, who is vying for the GOP nomination to run against Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.).
Fiorina in running in the June 8 primary against state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore and former Rep. Tom Campbell for the opportunity to try to unseat Boxer. But Palin took to Facebook Thursday afternoon to endorse Fiorina over the other contenders in "Reagan Country," and in the process took a shot at Campbell, although she didn't refer to him by name.

You need to re-read...... Carly is running for SENATE, Meg Whitman — who is not a conservative is running for Governor; Sarah endorsed Carly.
Fiorina is an idiot that ran HP into the ground and is a john-come-lately RINO in conservative clothing. Campbell is just another RINO. The only true conservative is Chuck DeVore, he has a proven record and is someone that would do most of what he promises (hey he’s a politician so I don’t believe everything they say).
None of this really matters since Tom Campbell is way ahead in the polls for the Republican primary. However, I’ve lost a lot of respect for Palin with her running around endorsing every RINO in sight. It’s more than pathetic.
I actually think only one out of ten people of FR could currently pass a reading comprehension test.
Carly is gathering endorsements this week from folks who are willing to settle. She is a moderate Republican - not the real deal. Yes, she is better than Boxer but I am not willing to settle in the primary. I stand behind Chuck DeVore who has a proven record because he has held elected office. Carly has not held any elected office, and has only recently learned to vote. All we have is her word on how she will act in office.
Palin Endorses Pro Life, Traditional Marriage, Military, Anti-Amnesty & 100% NRA Rated Carly Fiorina
Right on ... someone to get Boxer "outta there!" ... :-)
More Bad judgment by Palin, between this and the McCain disaster she is hurting her conservative cred.
Amazing how so many are on automatic pilot with my mind is made up, don’t confuse me with the facts.
Next they will say the Gov. of Arizona is a memner of La Raza.
How so? An endorsement doesn't deteriorate one's conservative credentials. Sarah already has the grassroots conservatives in her pocket. Now her job is to show that she's not the right-wing caricature that the media portray her as.
I’m with you, Chuck DeVore is the only true conservative in this race, he is getting my vote.
Your comments on #30 are spot on!
I wish McClintock would give it another try.
My view from San Diego says that Carly is a whole lot more conservative than Tom Campbell.
YOU BETCHA!
Sarah Palin will be on O’Reilly shortly
yep.....
I know, thanks, I’m watching BOR...lol.
...in a conversation to with the San Francisco Chronicle editorial board, Fiorina affirmed that she was personally pro-life, but reiterated her support for Sotomayor, saying, I do not believe where a potential judicial nominee stands on that issue [of abortion rights] is a qualifier or an unqualifier.
(snip)
She then went on to characterize the entire American pro-life movement as essentially a waste of time, saying: [M]any, many voters are going to conclude while that is a very important issue, it is frankly a decided issue. The law is clear in the state of California, where there is a constitutional guarantee to the right to an abortion. So why are we talking about a theoretical issue?

Sen. Feinstein has been a fine senator for the state of California, and has accomplished a great deal. I would describe her as a pragmatic problem-solver, Fiorina told Chronicle reporters and editors during an interview with the newspapers editorial board. I admire her, I respect her. I like her. I think and I hope she would say the same about me.

Fiorina draws ire of right with praise for Rev. Jesse Jackson, push for more women in politics
In the past 40 years, there are very few people who have used their talent ... to achieve more things for more people in more places than Reverend Jackson, she said in a 2003 speech posted on HPs Web site. And we are all better off for his leadership.
