Facebook turns on Palin
Politico ^ | 5/06/10 | Andy Barr

Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin's endorsement of Carly Fiorina in California's Senate race has prompted a fervent blowback on her Facebook page, long Palin's safe haven for delivering her message.

The revolt is coming from Palin supporters who also back Chuck DeVore – a tea party favorite who is campaigning against Fiorina in the Republican primary.

Palin’s Facebook page is littered with comments opposing her endorsement of Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard.

“The only REAL CONSERVATIVE is Chuck DeVore. Fiorina is a RINO and we don't need any more of those in [California],” one irate commenter wrote. “Why wouldn't you back Chuck DeVore???”

“Sorry Sarah but I think Chuck DeVore is the conservative candidate you should be supporting,” added another, who was followed up by a DeVore supporter who wrote: “I don't agree with this endorsement AT ALL! What are you thinking Sarah?”

I’ll stick with Jesus and His coming Kingdom. If you folks want to keep slumming around trying to fix the “Great Whore of Babylon” (current political and economic system), your wasting a lot of energy. That bitch is going to get torched by the light of Heaven coming back to Earth. Unless Gov. Palin, who I love and respect, or any other pol, can heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead, and restore the human condition to its eternal pre-fallen state, they are falling far short of THE solution for THIS hour. The only thing we can do is pray that God would allow Jesus to return with His glorified Bride at His side ASAP. He knows the “whole creation groans and travails” waiting for the manifestation of the Sons and Daughters of the King!

Palin and the rest of the California right is desperate to stop Tom Campbell, with weeks to go, Carly has the money and the numbers to stand a good chance of doing that.

Palin can actually help some in the Carly vs Campbell battle, but nothing could be done to make Devore suddenly make up a consistent 20 point deficit to knock out Campbell, but Carly has the money and position to close a 4 to 7 point gap with Palin's help, especially if Devore drops out in a week or two.

That is why Palin supports him financially.

—Seems like the best we can hope for, realistically, is the least Communist candidate..and then keep inching back to where we belong - just the way the rats have taken us left...inch by inch.-—

In some places that does seem to be the reality...

Sir, that was uncalled for! DeMint is a Conservative with a long history (proven record). Please stick to facts, not innuendo...

Great, another thread where the ‘kids’ of FR can ridicule the conservative base and their preferred candidate of choice in California... and it ain’t Carly.

No, the Conservatives are out tonight! Just what are you?

Well whatever he is, according to him yesterday "First of all, I’m a Palin fan..."

Yeah, right.

You mean the McCain/Graham/Fiorina conservatives?

No that’s not me. But if you want to donate to their campaign go to:

So, I see you go by who can win, regardless if they are the right person for the job - Conservative or not. If that is your idea of winning, you will be at the end of the line when the Socialists give out their gifts.

You are trying to win without regard to who you are voting for - a common problem today.

Principle? The Palin apologists defend her endorsement of McCain over Hayworth because she was indebted to him for placing her on his ticket. She has no such obligation to Fiorina unless she feels obliged because McCain endorsed her as well.

If winning becomes the main criterion for endorsing a candidate, then Palin becomes just like the rest of the RINOs who are more concerned about being elected and reelected than having principles and integrity.

What pisses me off are the morons here cheering on Fiorina as if the RINO was Margaret Thatcher returned. Here we are - a once in a generation chance to actually elect constitutional conservatives because of the Tea Parties, the abhorrence of Obama’s marxism, the appetite for scrapping the bloated Federal Gov, the bit talk radio push (FINALLY) for genuine small gavernment conservatism, and what happens? The NRSC endorses a gaggle of worthless, “moderate” senate candidates and the rank and file GOPers follow along like neutered pet monkeys.

Amen

Vote for Carly, heck no! My vote will go to DeVore regardless of who anyone endorses. She can endorse Scooby and Scrappy doo for all I care. I go with who I want to vote for, not anyone’s endorsement

You’re right. The more I read about Campbell, lets everyone know this guy is hard left Democrat masquerading as a Republican.

Certainly not McCain or anyone associated with him! No, I am talking about Conservatives! Was just not sure if you were one of us...with your comments.

If you are, I apologize. It seemed unlikely due to your comments.

Let’s just say I was.....

if she endorses Al Sharpton you’d still probably be on board with her.

I don’t have to prove myself to anybody, but if you want to go way back in my post history, before the McCain endorsement, you’ll see I was on board with Palin. As recently as two weeks ago I posted complaining about Karl Rove because he said that she “wasn’t prepared yet to be president.”

The difference is that I think, and the Palinistas don’t. Never put all your faith in a politician, they will only disappoint you.
