The Pravda Media berated Bush over Abu Ghraib, Katrina in New Orleans, and Valerie Plame because they sought to undermine his presidency.

The Iraqis are doing worse things at Abu Ghraib today without media exposure (and Saddam did even worse than either today’s Iraqis or the US offenders who were already under criminal prosecution).

The media ignored Democrat corruption at every level of government in New Orleans, Lousiana and put 101% of the blame on Bush. The media ignored other cities that took a DIRECT HIT from Katrina.

The media ignores every Rat crook who compromises National Security and even who it was who REALLY leaked Valerie Plame’s name and job.

The Pravda Media lies (by omission, distortion, and outright fabrication) to serve The Party.

Because it affected mostly white people?

Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner.

The Iowa floods were also not covered, nor the flooding in the Northwest last year. The media really only can focus where HUD housing needs to be re-built. I am not saying Katrina wasn’t horrific, but the Media is so far Left, they ignore any predominatley white areas to cover.

The people of Tennessee are hard at work cleaning up and assisting their neighbors and not looking for somebody with a camera and microphone to whine to.

It’s all about the mind set of the people involved.

That’s the only reason I can see. Plus the white areas tend to have people who help themselves and each other instead of waiting for the government to help them.

It's OK. I have no desire to be some politician's "Victim of the Day."

Talk show guy, Steve Gill, on his morning show was going on about why we didn't get $2K debit cards like the Katrina folks did. Now I know that Steve was just trying to score some anti-Obama points, but as far as I'm concerned Uncle Sugar can take his debit cards and stick them where the Sun don't shine. I thought it was wrong to hand those out at Katrina; I don't want them now.

That said, I'm glad that Davidson County was declared a disaster area. It certainly is that now, and our taxes have been paying hurricane victims for years. Might as well get some pie ourselves.

Other than the Disaster-Declaration, we don't need anything from the Feds. And we certainly don't need Obama flying down here, tying up the airport and the interstates just so he can get on TV looking all compassionate.

I ain't bashful. I'm from Nashville.

Because it affected mostly white people?

The same reason the MSM mostly ignored the 2009/2010 Red River North Dakaota floods..along with the currents events in Nashville. USA citizens coping and assisting each other combat the floods, the loss of lives, property.

Without fierce protests/rioting,
without looting,
without inudating food pantries/shelters,
without helplessness,
without damnation of the US/State/Local governments

I don’t know why you think hurricanes and floods somehow limit themselves to a single political jurisdiction. Katrina affected people throughout the MSA, which is majority white.

I realize the mob instinct leads knuckleheads to pile on, but the truth is not always what you’d like it to be.

The MSM’s committment to its political agenda trumps everything. If there’s not a way to utilize the news to promote its leftist perspective, it’s not news. Journalism is dead, activism is all-consuming.
