Barbara Boxer -- Too Stupid for California? (LOL!)
American Thinker ^ | May 7, 2010 | Clarice Feldman

Posted on 05/07/2010 2:16:05 PM PDT by jazusamo

In a stunning development the LA Times has declined to endorse Barbara (Senator, not ma'am, please) Boxer for re-election on the ground that she's failed to exhibit intellectual leadership.

Who knew?

Maybe anyone who paid attention to her babbling over the years:

Quote: Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., noted Rice has no children of her own to lose overseas. "Who pays the price?" Boxer repeatedly demanded. "You're not going to pay a particular price," she told Rice, because the secretary has no "immediate family" at risk.

Or this Video, Barbara on race:

On Climate Change: This and this.

On health care: abortion is like Viagra

I can stop any time.

You want a certain level of intelligence in a Senator, but I, for one, am absolutely aghast at the implication that we’re supposed to expect “intellectual leadership” from a politician. That is, if it is as it sounds, and we’re to expect them to lead us in the intellectual realm, rather than merely injecting some intelligence into their political leadership.

“What does ‘intellectual firepower’ mean?”

I think it means being able to win an argument. Wherein an argument is a battle, and firepower is whatever tactical intellectual weapons you have at your disposal. Yet another sad example of comparing everything to war, which apparently is among the only metaphors contemporary popular culture can muster.

Boy, I wish I would have been the one that got that line. I would have responded: "How 'bout if I call you EMPLOYEE?!?"

When all the traitorous idiots were screaming about the buildup in Iraq, I heard that idiot Boxer state that we needed the extra national guard here for “bird flu”.

Yeah, it’s hard to tell but it’s evident she didn’t hear it. It would have been something if he’d repeated Ma’am after she finished talking. :)

No intellectual leadership? Good grief, man, the woman is one measuring unit more intelligent than a breathing rock.

The LA Times has surely become desperate. They must be hoping to entice a few new subscribers by not endorsing Boxer but I suspect they will just lose their last few remaining lib subscribers instead.

In California, the mere mention of her name elicits 4-letter profanity. I wouldn’t count on Boxer this time around. She’s polling very badly.

That was my take too. But I would have told her she was just a temp.
