I lived in Kalifornia back in the 80's. And the governor was George Deukmejian........bland, boring, never raised taxes, and gave the Democrat legislature fits.....
Best thing he did, the state had surplus and he gave it back to the people which threw the unions into a tizzy...
And now it's this joker.........

"We are left with nothing but tough choices." How about the toughest choice of all ... cutting taxes and regulations, and making California a place where people want to come and set up businesses?

Sounds good to eliminate welfare, but it just shifts costs to County government because they will all go on General Assistance. Also, currently County jails hold prisoners who have sentences up to a year. The Gove. is going to make that 3 years. Our jail currently has a 6-9 mo. wait to get in. Gues people will just not have to serve their sentences.

My fellow Californians....get ready for the fight of life. There is stealth legislation in Sacramento aimed at repealing Proposition 13. This is the “tough choice” SchwartenKennedy is referring to.

“The movie star turned governor..”
The European turned U.S. citizen. Guess he should have taken European history. If he did, he failed.

California will never be out of financial woes unless they kick the illegals out. Then clean out the Unions that have corrupted the State employees benefits and wages. Reduce government employees. Then lowering all imposed fees and lower the income and sales tax base. Do away with all environmental BS. Reduce invasive rules on business. Curtail welfare. Otherwise forget it. Not a chance in hell.

Yep - it’s just like Greece.
And when our government tries all the “fixes” that the EU has done with Greece...well, we might as well be Greece. :(
