This was by far one of Sarah Palins best speeches, she gave specifics and details on what the Obama administration isn't doing and what needs to be done, She came out first on Foreign Policy and ended with how Ronald Reagan became a lifeguard for America....Huge Hewitt seem to buy into Palin at the end...The Q and A was very good....I believed after watching her on FOX BUSINESS CHANNEL that she is starting to make her "MOVE" to get in front of all of the contenders by appealing to the public....Sarah Palin is very smart and knows exactly whats she is doing.
Oh...BTW she did speak out about Arizona and the border issues as well
Thanks so much for the Q&A part. I had seen her speech but did not catch the Q&A..will watch it now
Huge Hewitt has never said anything bad about Gov Palin but he has been lukewarm towards her at times. Tonight he praised her ability as a great stump speaker. He also mentioned that, as someone who worked in the Reagan administration, he had a chance to study President Reagan. Hugh said that Sarah has similar characteristics as Reagan — optimism, a willingness to fight for her ideals, and faith in the American people. To me both of these things indicate that Hugh recognizes that Sarah is a fighter and the conservative cause needs her. Hugh also said that Sarah’s speech contained a very well-reasoned and in-depth criticism of the Obama foreign policy. Coming from Hugh Hewitt, that is high praise.
“Oh...BTW she did speak out about Arizona and the border issues as well”
Awesome! She took the opportunity to renounce her favorable position on “path to citizenship” amnesty for illegal aliens?
Love your joke.....i forgot to laugh
why bother? they know the answer, they know why. they just want to highjack the thread
NEWS FLASH.....they ALL deny being in favor of ‘amnesty’....hence the typical progressive name change to ‘path to citizenship’.
NEWS FLASH.....She supports a ‘path to citizenship’ for illegal aliens.
NEWS FLASH....’path to citizenship’ IS amnesty, just like it was when Bush and McCain were trying to shove it down our throats.
You can make excuses for her from now til the cows come home, it changes nothing.
SoConPubbie: “She has made it clear, in no uncertain terms, that concerning Illegals already present here she is against Amnesty as it would just promote more Illegal Immigration.”
Has she clarified her position as more than just opposed to amnesty? Juan McPain is opposed to “amnesty.”
If Sarah Palin supports a pathway to citizenship where an illegal pays a fine and gets to stay, even if they are sent to the back of the line, she’s for amnesty. Has she specifically stated she wants deportation through enforcement?
It looks like you and I are on the same track.
RINOs aren’t necessarily stupid. They altered the message, because most voters know what “comprehensive immigration reform” really means. (Illegals get to stay)
RINOs are now trying to sell “secure the border first” and “pathway to citizenship” once the border is secure. (After the politicians decide it’s secure of course). I don’t see that as something substantially different than comprehensive immigration reform, aka amnesty.
Nevertheless, I don’t really know where Sarah Palin stands on this. I’m neither for or against her, but I no longer think she’s anywhere near as conservative as I once believed. I agree with her more often than not, but I’d like to know if she’s against a pathway to citizenship. If not, it’s cause for concern.
Great speech. If you are feeling in any way discouraged by the rat mentality around you, take an hour and ten minutes of your time and watch this program all the way through.
Prager and Hewitt also good, although Hewitt said something I’m not sure is right. He said every aspect of Obamacare can be defunded by the next Congress, and I have heard differently. I have heard that only those aspects that require funding can be unfunded, while parts of it can proceed. If true, that means we need a VETO-PROOF MAJORITY so that we can repeal the entire act. So let’s get moving.
does sarah talk about the federal reserve, sound money and financial reform
One of the biggest applause lines was "Reload." A true Denver, Colorado, lemon melting moment!
Great speech by Palin. She is good. Loved the Q and A at the end. Prager was really fired up as usual. Hewitt had some really nice comments for Palin at the end. Thanks for posting.
Later....
She starting to slip and use words that are “smart” and then she quickly gives a simpler word.....Sarah is having fun letting the media think she is “dumb”....this is one smart lady, smarter and better common sense than Moogly the man cub.....
And she is having way too much fun.......
God Bless Madam President.....I cannot wait for the swearing in.....
“but Id like to know if shes against a pathway to citizenship”
In her interview with Univision, she was specifically asked to clarify that exact question. When asked do you support a “path to citizenship”, she said, “I do”. When asked specifically about ‘amnesty’, she would only admit to being against a “total” amnesty. [Fred Thompson used the qualifier, not “blanket” amnesty.] But it’s not just that...in same interview she went to great lengths, as most ‘path-to-citizenship’ amnesty politicians have done, to give the familiar, red-flag arguments...we’ve heard them all before... about how it would be “economically” impossible to deport all illegal immigrants, that illegal aliens must be dealt with “humanely”, and sympathizing with their desire to have all of the opportunities here in America, that they will be allowed do so if they just “follow the rules”.
Refusing to take her word on the matter, the argument among her supporters has been that she was under the influence of McCain. But if her position was rabidly different than McCain’s, as it should be, then she was intentionally misleading the American people for the sake of the elections and nothing she says can be trusted. She’s STILL supporting McCain and while she has had PLENTY of opportunity to renounce her position, she has not.
