I assume the dem lawyer was going to defend it in a weak way so they would lose on purpose. Nice move to remove the dem!

In a way, this helps Goddard. If he succesfully defended the law, it would hurt his fundraising efforts for his gubernatorial run. If he unsuccessfully defended it, it would lose him votes.

Not a resume enhancer for the lawyer.

Goddard said many times he did not want to defend the law. He’s running for Governor, and it’s a campaign issue for him. Brewer did what she had to do.

I assume No question the dem lawyer was going to defend it in a weak way so they would lose on purpose.

Fixed it. Suspension was the only logical move.

Darned if I know where it is, but in a recent article (within the last 3-4 days) our AG, Terry Goddard, said that he would not defend the law. In reality, I believed at the the time that he was saying he could not in good conscience defend it.

Sounds like Goddard betrayed the trust of his client, the State of Arizona!

He’s been doing that for years.

The story says that he was vocal in his criticism of the law. Stupid move on his part.
