At least 21 people were wounded in separate shootings around the city, including a man who died this morning after he was shot in the head, Chicago police said.
One of the shootings happened about 3 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Cottage Grove in the Woodlawn neighborhood. A 56-year-old man was standing on the corner when a passing car fired in his direction, police said. He fell to the ground in pain and discovered he was shot in his calf, police said. He was taken to an area hospital and listed in good condition.
About 8:10 p.m. in the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood, a 47-year-old man was shot in his arm. Police said the shooting might have been a drive-by. The victim was taken to Norwegian-American Hospital and is now listed in good condition.

Moral to the story: It's safer to be on the streets of Iraq than it is anywhere in the City of Chicago.

I heard some guy from Chicago on TV awhile back. He was being interviewed about the possibility of the National Guard coming to Chicago to restore order. His response chilled me. He said he would be all for that “if the National Guard could do so IN A RESPECTFUL MANNER”.
The problem is that no one wants to dis the gangbangers.

Just a couple of weeks ago the mayor was joking about shooting a reporter trying to tell everyone about how citizens shouldn’t be armed, and how guns should be collected by police.
Good work Mayor, it looks like your philosophy and your jokes are protecting the citizens of Chicago.

Democrats are the undisputed masters of *sounding* good. In practice their philosophies work not so well.
Because they are not simply minorities, they are soul less savages in Chicago.
