If we modify that sentence in the story to read "29-year-old English TEACHER came to her for help with his homework" it still doesn't make sense to me. The "her" and "his" don't match. Please help the OldPossum in his befuddlement.

Such as naming the kid "Nosmo King" (from the sign in the lobby) or Go'norea Gaily (pronounced like "Gloria", but with one more syllable), the presumably joyful girl who happens to have an STD. I bet one of the nurses said, "how about Pig Latin for 'Pam'?
