Keenon Aampay Hall, who was voted Teacher of the Year at in Shiloh High School in Snellville, Georgia, has resigned after admittedly having a sexual relationship with a 17 year old student.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that records show the 29-year old English came to her for help with his homework.
An investigative file shows the student, who is a graduating senior and popular football player, said that Keenon Aampay Hall gave him gifts and pressured him to get her pregnant. When he initially turned down her advances, the student's family says Hall failed him, which prompted him to report the relationship to officials.
Keenon Aampay Hall has a web site that you can view.
What is with these teachers thinking it is appropriate to have a sexual relationship with their students? As teachers they should certainly be trained in self control, and they serve to set examples for the rest of the students.

If we modify that sentence in the story to read "29-year-old English TEACHER came to her for help with his homework" it still doesn't make sense to me. The "her" and "his" don't match. Please help the OldPossum in his befuddlement.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that records show the 29-year old English came to her for help with his homework. In the context of the story, what does this sentence mean?
Oh, I forgot. They've laid off all the editors and proofreaders.

In my public skoolz there were more than a couple of student or beginning teacherz who were most definitely not guilty.

Keenon Aampay Those darned Amish gals (?) causing trouble again. The middle name sounds like Pig Latin to me. I wonder if that is the result of the continuing saga of inner-city obstetrics nurses competing with each other to get the most nonsensical and hilarious names onto the birth certificates of the spawn of single black mothers. Such as naming the kid "Nosmo King" (from the sign in the lobby) or Go'norea Gaily (pronounced like "Gloria", but with one more syllable), the presumably joyful girl who happens to have an STD. I bet one of the nurses said, "how about Pig Latin for 'Pam'?
