Ashton Kutcher Blames Republicans For Oil Spill (Need I say more?)

Daily Gut: Ashton Kutcher Blames Republicans For Oil Spill

Posted By Greg Gutfeld

You know what I do when I’m confused about an issue? I turn to Ashton Kutcher. And whatever he says – the opposite is true. (see :53 – 1:10 [1])

Leave it to Ashton to use catastrophe as a club to beat Republicans with – although the last time I checked Obama favors drilling – and most of America agrees. Except of course those shallow, stupid celebs who think their private jets fly on pixie farts.

But hey, if it hadn’t been for greenies, this whole mess might have occured in shallow water, and it’d be fixed. But maybe there are rare snails there that require space for Pilates.

At any rate, buyer’s remorse is now flooding the airwaves faster than oil from that busted rig: On CNN, director Spike Lee cries, “If there’s any one time to go off, this is it, because this is a disaster.”

And of course, there’s Gloria Borger, who frets that who we elected, is exactly what we expected.

The media types who went on and on about how cool Obama is, now realize why he’s so cool. It’s exactly the same breeze you get from an air conditioner. It temporarily relieves the heat, but does nothing about the weather. And so what we thought was contemplation might in fact be fear; restraint actually wimpiness. As crisis after crisis unfolds, from Iran, to North Korea, to the Gulf of Mexico, to Gaza – there is only one mantra: “Maybe this will all go away.”

Maybe so. But each mess reveals a simple truth about 2008. The libs wanted a Hollywood president, and got one. But here’s the difference: in flicks emoting solves problems. In real life, it worsens them.

I'm glad Zero, for the second time, canceled his trip to Australia (do they speak Australian there)? That should be parlayed into restricting his mobility for the duration of the oil leak. Tighter and tighter should the circle be drawn, no trips, no parties, no campaigning, no cap and trade. Like the hostage crisis eventually paralyzed Carter.

The bigger threat to Gaia and all her animal vegetables, and minerals, right now, is Zero. If the leak renders him impotent and/or denies him a second term it would be my preference the leak not stop until the day he leaves office. 3 decades of healing from leak related losses is much preferable to discarding 3 centuries of civilization's advance.

As you know, I don’t believe this spill was an accident. Since Obama took office there have been a series of financial and catastrophic events. And a number of these events have lead to investigations, oversight, or take over of the federal government.

Our government now owns banks, car manufacturing companies, and they may be looking at owning a few newspapers outright in the not too distant future. Shortly after the mining accident I told myself that Obama would demand an investigation, and the federal government we place their foot in the door of our mining industry.

During his campaign, Obama did not promote American oil drilling. After his “election” his popularity numbers dropped, and Obama discovered that American’s want their independence from foreign oil. So, he recently announced that we can start drilling offshore. Low and behold, shortly after this decision we have a catastrophic oil spill.

There are no witnesses to testify that the explosion was an accident. We have nothing to go by except what BP and the administration tells us, or doesn’t tell us.

And if you believe this was something other than an accident,

In politics, you play to win, period. You take out a well, get some spillage, and in effect destroy "Drill, baby, drill" and anyone associated with it. Following me?

Or, it was just an accident.

A shame to let all those pics of tarred-up birds go to waste, don't you think? By 2012 recycled Clinton signs, "It's the Economy, Stupid" will be in high demand (if not sooner).

Maybe the oil mess will subside in people's minds by then, maybe it won't. Guess who's hoping it won't? And why?

Politics is for keeps. A shitload of power goes to the winner. And America's Constitution/The People be damned.

I believe we’ve viewed one of Kutcher’s films. There are individuals who can act, and there are those who can’t. From what I’ve seen (which includes some snippets, and a couple of episodes of Punked(?), he can’t act.

He must have been playing himself in Dude, Where’s My Car? The film should have been titled, Dude, Where’s My Cranium?

At least he didn’t actually say, “It was Bush’s fault.”

Forgot to mention the Clintons, they want back in the game and Barry is punching their ticket.

"I've built the resume and will be America's first female President, even if I have to bounce fifty ashtrays off Bill's forehead!" "Do you understand!!"

This has crossed my mind too. But I hope it’s just paranoia.

Sorry to hear that you’re unemployed at the moment, Tzimisce. Wish we could help you.

Truth be told, I would rather be out of work than live his life, and I’m serious.

My best wishes to you.

Interesting post on BH by a guy named LostFan:

Kuchie,

Investigate this and get back to us:

Seems that a crew from Schlumberger, on contract to BP, hightailed it off the platform at their own expense 6 hours before the blowout because BP refused their recommendation to shut down the well. This lends more credence to Thom’s suggestion that corners were cut because the bigwigs were coming for a visit.

“BP contracted Schlumberger (SLB) to run the Cement Bond Log (CBL) test that was the final test on the plug that was skipped. The people testifying have been very coy about mentioning this, and you’ll see why.

SLB is an extremely highly regarded (and incredibly expensive) service company. They place a high standard on safety and train their workers to shut down unsafe operations.

SLB gets out to the Deepwater Horizon to run the CBL, and they find the well still kicking heavily, which it should not be that late in the operation. SLB orders the “company man” (BP’s man on the scene that runs the operation) to dump kill fluid down the well and shut-in the well. The company man refuses. SLB in the very next sentence asks for a helo to take all SLB personnel back to shore. The company man says there are no more helo’s scheduled for the rest of the week (translation: you’re here to do a job, now do it). SLB gets on the horn to shore, calls SLB’s corporate HQ, and gets a helo flown out there at SLB’s expense and takes all SLB personnel to shore.

6 hours later, the platform explodes.”

Does any of that sound like a Republican was involved?

Go back to your Cougar, little boy. You know, the one you’ll leave one day when she’s too F’n old for you.
She looks like a man in drag and he looks limp wristed, light in the loafers.

It’s not paranoia. This administration is giving you a valid reason to suspect as much. Your reservations didn’t just appear out of thin air.

I’m taking this at face value, but regardless, the Republicans hands, if you will, don’t have oil on them.

Kutcher’s on crude.

Hey,ya need to cut asston some slack this time. hear’s why.
obama is in violation of Article 2 (Natural born citizen clause), which means that technically he is not the legal president and can’t be legally responceable for being stupid.(asston, obama, two peas in a pod). When a wannabe (ineligible) like obama is removed from office(election voided D.o C. code 3501) the office of the President goes to the person with the majority of the remaining electorial college votes. This make John McCain the legal President of the U.S. and the person responceable for the oil spill cleanup (or lack of). p.s. 25 amendment does not apply as obama was never eligible to be president( biden does not get to play President). See asston was right the republicans are responceable for the oil spill!!
