'There is no West without Israel'

A group of respected former world leaders and academic figures came together in Paris earlier this month to establish the Friends of Israel initiative to combat what they called the "delegitimation of the State of Israel."

The group was led by former Spanish prime minister Jose Maria Aznar and included Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former First Minister of Northern Ireland David Trimble, former Peruvian president Alejandro Toledo, Italian philosopher Marcelo Pear, British historian Andrew Roberts and former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton.

In a press release prior to the Paris event, the group expressed its outrage over the "unprecedented delegitimation campaign against Israel, driven by the enemies of the Jewish state and perversely assumed by numerous international authorities."

The Friends of Israel initiative differs from and compliments other pro-Israel movements because it "is promoted by people who are not Jewish and whose motivations are based on the deep conviction that Israel is part of the Western world. In fact, today Israel is a fundamental actor for the future of the West."

I believe America cursed Israel when PM Netanyahu came to the U.S. a few weeks ago and was treated like a ghetto crack whore by Obama and the entire White House. Now, if the U.S. begins to vote against Israel in the UN.....turn out the lights; the party's over.

Agreed, my point was that we should not exaggerate Israel’s contribution to us. They are our best intel and weapons platform in the Middle East. But now we have Iraq and (limited) Afghanistan to project power through also.

No, the flotilla did not break the blockade...The blockade still exists!!!

Israel prevailed but that is not "news."

Thank you, ExTexasRedhead, for the video link in your #39. It is well worth viewing, and I am sending out via e-mail.

Israel delivers medical supplies and other humanitarian aid DAILY to Gaza: not reported. Israel troops suffered vicious attacks, death and injury on board ship before they reacted to severe terrorist provocation: not reported. I only regret they managed to kill only 9 of the jihadi scum.

If you meet a real big guy in prison, and he keeps saying he’s your best friend, and while you’re both showering, you happen to drop a bar of soap, just finish that shower and get out of there. Don’t pick up the soap, Bibi.

The United States tried to prevent the war through negotiations, but it could not persuade Nasser or the other Arab states to cease their belligerent statements and actions. Still, right before the war, Johnson warned: “Israel will not be alone unless it decides to go alone.”16 Then, when the war began, the State Department announced: “Our position is neutral in thought, word and deed.”17

Moreover, while the Arabs were falsely accusing the United States of airlifting supplies to Israel, Johnson imposed an arms embargo on the region (France, Israel’s other main arms supplier, also embargoed arms to Israel).

By contrast, the Soviets were supplying massive amounts of arms to the Arabs. Simultaneously, the armies of Kuwait, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Iraq were contributing troops and arms to the Egyptian, Syrian and Jordanian fronts.

[and yet, Israel’s near-perfect air strikes at the outset of Israel’s combat phase destroyed the Arab airforces on the ground, giving Israel complete air superiority, and helped lead to the destruction in detail of the various attacking Arab fascist forces. Syria was driven off the Golan Heights, Jordan was run out of eastern Israel (which is what the “West Bank” is) and eastern Jerusalem which it had ethnically cleansed in 1948, Egypt lost the Sinai (again) and lost use of the Suez Canal for more than six years, and everyone working under him was afraid to tell Nasser that the propaganda broadcasts concealed a comprehensive defeat.]

You mean, the US was a real big help in 1948, when it helped enforce an arms blockade against the newly formed state, in the hopes of preventing the war from “escalating”. Or how about in 1967, when the US was busily keeping Jordanian planes running, and Israel’s closest ally was France? There may or may not be a West without Israel, but it’s a much nobler, better West WITH us, and you can bet that we’ll do all we can to help the French resistance after France has been Islamicized. There will be no West if you people don’t wake up, smell the coffee, and start making babies and guns.

Well at least you did not partially quote Genesis 12:3 as warning to US IF we don't do this or that. Write a letter to BamBamKennedy's teleprompter programmers, they have the influence over him, certainly NOT the American people.

Furthermore I do believe US removing that want-a-be king of Babylon, old Saddam might be a little more appreciated given he was using the monies off his 'oil for rotten food' program set up by the globalist to fill their pockets to pay off those homicide bombers when they pulled of their barbarism in that land.

IT is incalculable the amount of blood and treasury this nation has put forth to end the insanity that has taken place. But our Jon Stewart media filled the minds of the majority of our populace with LIES about George Bush we in the majority decided to hire an image that is .ell bent on destroying US.

Seriously, the US has been great at times. But our alliance with my birthplace does not go as far back as it’s purported to. In 1961, Kennedy finally backed out of the arms blockade, thereby making the US not an ally, but at least not an adversary. After 1967, Golda Meir spent much of her time on good will trips to the US, winning friends and influencing people. In 1973, Richard Nixon came to Israel’s aid at a crucial moment, which is why we’re still here. The alliance developed some time between 1967 and 1973, but it’s not etched in stone, and as long as Obama is President and Dems control both houses of congress, it’s no longer a reality.

As for the babies and guns remark, that was more aimed at those sissified Europeans, who are being invaded and bullied in their own countries, and are letting it happen. Remember, France, Germany, Spain, England: Start stockpiling illegal firearms, incendiaries and long knives now. Unless you wake up PDQ, sooner or later you’ll need them. Also, throw away those condoms and do it au natural. You’ll need all the kids you can get.

I love Israel and the Jewish people, and I will pray for them until the end. Prayer changes things.
