Tazer would have been a good 1st choice. Maybe pepper spray next. K-9 attack third.
Not only was he “justified”, I think he showed admirable restraint. I would have punched, maced then choked out the bitch.
If you get in the way of a cop arresting another person, you put yourself in the crosshairs.
Everything short of shooting would have been fine with me. You don’t do that to a cop and expect that he just play nice.

I have had some really rude blacks push me and shove me when trying to go into a store and it was not a sale..It seems to me they are getting so rude..I hold the door open for people and they shove people out of the way..
The girl should NOT have interfered- they cop then had two against one and it looks like she was trying to overpower him.
Together the two of them could have overpowered him and he would have been in danger. (that ‘girl’ is huge!)
Crime fighting is not as pretty as it looks on TV.
It would be nice if he could pull some quick kung fu move and subdue her without harm, but that ONLY HAPPENS IN MOVIES
When a cop is stuggling with one person and you jump into the fight... what do you expect?
That said, his skills in preventing this escalation are not as good as they could be- some people are born with it.
G.Gordon Liddy HATES prision guards with a passion (and I dont blame him -I know some) but I have heard him say he did have respect for one man. There was 2 examples he gave- One idiot could walk into the prison yard and incite a riot because he was a stupid stupid cop, and this other guy could walk in and stop a riot in its tracks just by his forceful presence and demeanor.

Yes he was justified. But did he have to punch her in the face? I mean really, aren’t police taught various ways of restraining people? Although justified, it was punching her in the face that bothers me. It made me wonder if the cop actually lost control and was swinging impulsively.
