In an added twist, police say the others who had guns included the murdered woman's 17-year-old son, Ishmel Rogucki.
Gee, she had a 17-year-old gangbanger living with her and got caught in the crossfire. Who'da thunk it?

One high-end manufacturer, Glock, revealed in a 1994 patent lawsuit that it rakes in 68% profit on each weapon.

BP had a net profit margin before the oil spill of 8.32%.

Google reports only 25%.”

******

Since when is 25% less than 8.32%? Or is the moral of the story Google=good, BP and Glock=bad? Not that I’m a big fan of Gaston Glock who I feel will roll over in a heartbeat if he can protect his niche in the market.

Also, let’s hear some more about the backgound of the two primary actors in this tragedy, Isa and Ishmel.

It is the NRA’s fault or the gunsmith’s fault that Ms. Rogucki was caught in the crossfire when her own 17 y.o. son was one of the gunmen?

Anti-gun idiots have been spewing this exact lie for years. Gun makers are responsible for murders committed by teenage gang members in a cith with total gun control?

Planned parenthood is responsible for more murders every year than all the gunshot victims combined. Perhaps the looney libs would be happy if all gun makers gave all their profits to planned parenthood?

Somebody doesn’t want to admit that the kids got their mother killed.

No agenda here. I'm sure that if the mom had been killed by a knife wielding thug, they would be decrying knife maker profits just as hard.

Send to idiot boy jounalist this p.m,

Mikey:

How contorted a mind do you have to process gang bangers using guns to the NRA making profits? Your billionaire mayor has done everything he can think of (even broken federal laws) to ensure that legal gun ownership / possession is illegal in New York. Yet this happened and you blame the NRA and criticize Glock for making a profit.

Does the “no guns equal more crime’ resonate with you or are you so indoctrinated with anti-gun culture that you ignore the facts?

Never mind answering the question; by your tripe column I can deduce the answer……

Guns are simply tools. The effects of the gun depend on the intention of the person operating it.

This woman was obviously not unfamiliar with guns, since her own son had used one in the past, and likely knew others who had done so, as well. I don't want to be critical, because a mother immediately thinks of protecting her kids, and that's what she was doing when she went out that night, but maybe she should have thought about her other kids, and not gotten involved in the fray involving her older son.

The woman and her kids are shacking up with armed gang bangers. It's not the fault of the "gun industry". It's the gang bangers. Place the blame where it belongs. Drug addled dropouts with guns tend to use their weapons to communicate as their gray matter is no longer up to the task. If guns weren't available, they would use knives, machetes or baseball bats.

Maybe the family should tell the 17 year old son to stop getting in fights with guns!

Right here in the United States you have local jurisdictions where the state and local gun laws are the most liberal in the country, and where they have the highest per-person rates of gun ownership; but they are not the local jurisdictions with either the highest rates of murder or gun violence.

Those jurisdictions prove that guns do not kill, murderers do.

To stem gun violence and murders by hand guns, it is not the industrial production of guns you need to control, but the social production of murderers.

During the Cold War, the Soviet Union manufactured millions upon millions of AK-47 rifles and distributed them and billions of rounds of ammunition, freely, to communist revolutionaries throughout the world.

The result was millions of deaths through war and executions.

But the Soviets were good guys; they didn’t make any money from the distribution of intentional death, destruction and misery.

What nonsense on stilts. The same argument could be made about any product - autos, for example, let's ban them because there are children who wake up crying for a parent who was lost in an auto accident. Or better yet, electricity, because there are children who wake up crying for a parent who was electrocuted. Or food, because there are children who wake up crying for a parent who was lost to a choking accident. Or ....
