Arizona Dem: Federal Agencies Nixing Conventions Over State's Immigration Law
foxnews.com ^ | June 25, 2010

Two federal agencies have joined the "boycott Arizona" trend and nixed conferences there out of concern over the state's immigration law, a Democratic Arizona congresswoman said, calling the development "very troubling."

The cancellations by the Department of Education and the U.S. Border Patrol may have been more out of a desire to steer clear of controversy than outright protest of the law. But Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who has written to dozens of cities and groups in a campaign to persuade them to end their boycotts, said it was disturbing to learn that the federal government would withdraw from the state over the issue.

Seems to me that the answer to a Federal boycott or law suit would be a state moratorium on forwarding collected taxes.

Once again, our pres—ent Mr. Skittles indulges in thug tactics against any domestic government that doesn’t kiss his ass. Ask yourself, are AZ, LA, AL, MS, TX red or blue states? Answer that and you might understand Mr. Skittles lack of attention to those States immediate environmental needs. Now, lets ask if these States where SEIU, UAW, or AFL-CIO, do you think Mr. Skittles would ignore their wants? Mr. Skittles can sometimes be a real bitch.

Good for Arizona. The border patrol is boycotting? What a bunch of maroons. But getting the Dept. of Ed. out, that is awesome.

If all 57 states did this, perhaps Hussein's regmime would resign en masse!

We need all federal agencies to nix all conventions in all states - why are they having conventions? - stop the spending!

I hope that after the supreme court rules that the law IS constitutional that the state of Arizona sues each and every organization or entity that boycotted them.

According to Giffords, the Education Department canceled a convention set for October at a Tucson resort after the Mexican government said it would not send any representatives to the meeting.

MEXICO would not send reps?

WTF?

So? Who gives a sheeeet?

Is this an "AMERICAN" Dept of Ed or an UN Dept. of Ed?

Where are Arizona's Congress-Critters?

Why are they not on the phone with the heads of DOE and Border Patrol?

This is beyond ludicrous!

Where are Arizona’s Congress-Critters?

Somewhere in a bunker. But Gov. Brewer steps up to the plate. More amazing every day that conservative women seem to have more nads than the so=called male conservatives who appear to be afraid of their own shadow.

“If all 57 states did this, perhaps Hussein’s regmime would resign en masse!”

The real problem will be those last 7 states! ;)
