It looks like President George W. Bush may have a pretty good birthday today. After all, this time last year the liberal media was terming him as "the worst president in American history."
But a lot has changed since then.
History has proven that the challenges he faced during his presidency were much more daunting that anyone realized. In fact, shortly after the 2008 presidential election, Gallup ranked Bushs popularity at only 27 percent and Obamas at 70 percent.
Most of the country thought Obama would prove Bush totally incompetent, but since then a lot has happened, and Obamas popularity, according to Gallup, has dropped 24 points to only 46 percent.

When I met him and Laura in 2000, some idiot was yelling insults. I told him not to pay attention to that person. He just smiled and said he was used to it.
Thanks for the Compean and Ramos pardon.
I would not use Facebook to compare President Bush to other people. President Obama has 10,066,397 People Like This. How this is possible I don’t know but he bypasses President Bush by a huge amount.
I didn’t see his age mentioned, Dr. Deb. He’s over 60, but how much “over”. Do you know?
Happy Birthday, Mr. President.
May God richly bless W. and Laura Bush.
How about this one?
On this day in 1946 was born:
A Ram (Los Angeles Ram and “Hunter” actor Fred Dryer)
A Rocky AND Rambo (Sylvester Stallone)
and a Republican President (and son of a former Republican president).
My family and I wish you a blessed birthday, President Bush.
Isn’t that sad.
A man who brought Dignity Back to the WH - After All the Tabloid junk (Monica and Slick Willy)
And one who was strongly for Family Values and very Strongly Prolife.

thanks.....
What a terrific couple!
Elections have consequences...yeesh.
Of course Obama has more ‘likes’ — he actively used facebook during his TWO YEAR campaign for president. Had President Bush used facebook in 2004 he would have had similar numbers.
[My original point was that President Bush has done something historic: He has garnered over 200,000 likes is ONE month WITHOUT the high profile platform of a political campaign or current political office (or a TV show or a radio show)!]
This is President Bush’s 64th birthday!
” I’m proud to say I shook your hand in Sept. 2000. “
As I did in 2006... One of my favorite “ liberal irritators”
is to offer to shake hands with them, and then reveal that they just indirectly shook hands with GWB....
Really sets them off.................
Anita1, thanks for posting that video of W at the 92 convention.
Bush looked great in that interview. Very articulate and quick-thinking.
Interesting how Russert leading up to the interview and then Shriver in the interview were careful to hit the main MSM talking points of the 92 campaign:
1. The President isn’t “interested” in Americans problems.
2. There’s nothing new in any of his proposals (I guess that means no “change”... you know... communism)
3. The American people don’t know what GHW Bush stands for.
The media; gots to love them. (Not!)
LOL
Happy Birthday W!
While I disagreed with you on more than a few issues, IMHO, there was no better man to have at the helm following 9 -11.
May God bless and keep you sir, and may you celebrate many more, to witness the appreciation this nation, and the world, owes you.
Tatt
God bless President Bush!
Amen and AMEN!
The "consequence" of the 2000 election was honor, integrity, decency, courage and strength.
The consequence of the 2008.........almost too horrible to put in words.
(Oh.....and you're welcome. :)
Mostly young, gullible, ill-informed American Idol kids who are now out of jobs and looking at a very bleak future.
Hopefully many of them have learned a very hard lesson.
President Bush's "likes" are against the flow, tough to come by, and yet the number in one month is enormous.
That's a significant stat, DrDeb. Thanks for posting it. :)
Yesterday, I tried to post a comment to the President's Wall on FB, but couldn't, so instead I posted a comment to one of his previous updates wishing him a blessed 64th Birthday.
I hope he got to spend his special day with his loved ones!
BTW: Am I the only one having trouble posting to the President's wall?
