“Republicans remains low, at 12%”
If you support Obama and yet call yourself a Republican you need to do some deep soul searching or you are certifiable mental!

"We are indeed two Americas and one would be quite happy living with the same leadership as Zimbabwe"A minor adjustment, considering they're already living happily with Kenyan leadership.

Isnt this approaching the point of no return?
For November yes. The dems don't have enough time to pull out of the nose dive before people start paying attention before the elections. Illinois has stopped paying its bills and California and New York are not far behind. Even the slavishly friendly press can't hide the damage any more.
For a second term there is still time, but i doubt Obama will be able to make use of it. Obama would need a different personality type to pull it off. In the example above Reagen and Clinton were able to pull out a second term after a mid term disaster. But both were self effacing and were able to draw on the good will of the American people to force a hostile congress to support their agendas. Both also backed off their chosen ideology and met congress half way (Reagen didn't cut the budget as he had promised and Clinton ended welfare as we knew it). Obama's professorial lecturing can't connect with the majority of Americans. And his fanatical socialist ideology won't let him bend.
Most importantly Obamas jobs to date have not prepared him to deal with a hostile legislature. In Chicago there are no Republicans. In the Illinois Senate he was part of Dem party with such large majorities that they didn't even need to fear vetoes. His presidency so far had the largest one party majorities in Obama's entire lifespan. Obama has never had to deal with an opposing party that actually had power. He has never had to deal, or compromise. I do not see him as being the type to acquire that skill quickly enough to save him in 2012.

Unlike Clinton, I don’t think Obama gives a “rat’s a**” what his poll numbers are. He’s just hell bent on doing as much damage to the country as he can in whatever time he has.

That’s not how you determine the average. It has to be weighted or prorated for each group. They dont split evenly 33.33% each. Could not easily find the breakdown on the link though, but sure it is probably not 33.33% each.

The difference was Reagan had an economic plan in place that was all ready turning the corner on the recession and Bill Clinton was rescued from his Progressive follies by the Republican Congress.
Obama has a Congress egging on his most absurd economic dogmas and an economic plan that is absolutely contrary to everything that would inspire economic growth. The proper President to compare Obama to is neither Clinton ,nor Regan, but Carter.
Obama has the same fiscal/domestic/foreign policies as Carter. He is Jimmy Carter 2.0

Obama is not alone in facing a challenging second year in office — Bill Clinton (43%), Ronald Reagan (42%), and Jimmy Carter (40%) all were below the majority approval level in July of their second year. None of them started off with the super high 70%+ approval ratings that 0bozo started off with. 0bozo has fallen faster and deeper than anyone else.
And none of them had the 99% approval ratings amongst blacks that 0bozo has right now. Given the high concentration of blacks in east/west coast big cities and states, his super high approval amongst blacks may not be too helpful to him for electoral votes come 2012, if his really low approval amongst whites continues to go lower. Plus of course, none of the others was a hard core Marxist. 0bozo is.

Bill Clinton (43%), Ronald Reagan (42%), and Jimmy Carter (40%) all were below the majority approval level in July of their second year. Of course, each of those presidents saw his party lose a substantial number of seats in that year's midterm congressional elections, though both Reagan and Clinton recovered in time to win a second term as president. True, but there are some other things to consider. Clinton lost control of congress , especially telling was the House went republican for the first time in 40 years. HillryCare failed, and the new congress dragged Clinton to the center, did the contract with America and welfare reform. We had the internet boom AND cheap energy prices, so Clinton was saved from himself in a sense.
Reagan lost congress, but his tax cuts brought about an unprecedented boom.
The closest comparison to Hussain would be Jimmy "my name is Earl" Carter. He was weak, had no clue about the economy and brought about the rise of the mullahs in Iran. Hussain is basically Jimmy Carter on steroids. The only difference is that Hussain has the MSM in his pocket and a lot of Soros money to back him up. Plus he has ZERO regard for the constitution.

38% of people of approve of this guy? God Help us Not hard to get to 38% floor support. 95% of blacks would love him no matter what he did and a good 25% of the country is, well, stupid/gullible/on the government teat. He won't go below 35% ever.

Good point, Gonzo. Obama will most likely pout and throw fits like the child that he is if Republicans take the House. He will blame the voters when he can’t get things done. It will not be presidential.
To: outofstyle
The other thing to remember is the economy had significantly improved by 1996. We hit a 5.5% unemployment number in, I think, May of that year. People were feeling a lot more hopeful in 1996 then they were in 1994 so there was a “Don't rock the boat” mood with many voters.
Obama will have no such boost this his numbers since everything they are doing in DC these days is designed to be a jobs killer.

He won't go below 35% ever. I agree with your thesis.
That 35% is the foundation upon which they will attempt to construct a Clintonian plurality for 2012.
To: YankeeReb
Nice synopsis. Obamarx is much more closely related to Carter. One more thing about Reagan (related to Clinton’s internet boom) was the boom of PC’s in the workplace which, coupled with tax cuts, drove the economy. Obamarx has nothing going for him and is doing everything wrong.

Im not so sure that peoples memories will fade so quickly when 2012 comes around even if things improve after a Republican congress emasculates this usurper and prevents him from doing more harm. Things won't improve. The best congress can do is prevent further damage. They won't be able to override any veto. If Hussain were a politician like Clinton a major loss would cause him to tack right. From everything I can see he's a revolutionary, a rigid ideologue. If he can't change the system, he'll try to destroy it. Our only hope of a turnaround is repealing 0bamacare before the taxes kick in. Second we need to make the Bush tax cuts permanent. Finally we need to get control of our borders. In short: IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN.

Obama maintains the support of 81% of Democrats, Remember, that only 20% of the nation now call themselves "Liberal" so that essentially is 16.8% of the country. I have always used the 80/20 rule for most things. Rule for just about every in life... 80% of the people are good and productive where 20% are F-ing unproductive, commie imbeciles!
