A patriot might argue that cutting 40% of the museum pieces could be a rational course of action. But this administration will more likely cut the 40% from our front line weapons, and leave the museum pieces in place.
Cutting any weapons is dangerous at this point, because the brain trust who knew how to make them is deceased.

Does anyone feel like 3,000 nukes are not enough? What country is going to attack us because we can only respond with 3,000 nukes?
According to A History of the Atomic Bomb, after WW2 the American military was asked how many nuclear weapons it felt the military would need to adequately protect the US from every eventuality, and it recommended a total of 200.
