WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is promising House Democratic leaders that he'll actively support their agenda and Democratic lawmakers as they head into tough midterm elections this fall.

That's according to a House Democratic leadership aide who was briefed on a meeting Wednesday night between the president and top House Democrats.

Please Barry, campaign real hard would ya? Especially in the close races. We really need you to visit all these districts that are up for grabs and let the voters really know how you and Congressman X are really good buddies and you guys share the same ideology, the same socialist plans to destroy America. And just in case the voters are not sure about what you guys have been up to I am sure there are a few thousand Tea Party folks around who will be more than willing to explain it all.
