“US government has ordered”

The American people have ordered the US government to mind it’s own damn business (if they can figure out what that is)

Either send in resources to clean up the mess or shut up!

Tell the Obamas to eat more lobster and latte’ or get another coconut ice cream cone you losers!

We should start seeing pressure drop if there is a leak.

The ROV has the ability to keep balance which was demonstrated by the robotic arms doing amazing maneuvers. My opinion its the BOP making the scary sway.

The concern all along - since pressure readings on the cap weren’t as high as expected - was a leak elsewhere in the wellbore, meaning the cap may have to be reopened to prevent the environmental disaster from becoming even worse and harder to fix.

If you look at the E: and N: indicators, you will see that the ROV is indeed swaying.

If a ROV were using its claw to hang onto something, it would be steadier.

In this case, it is just floating/hanging.

No idea why MMS approved this design when it was known the well depth was pushing current technology, increasing risks.

Could be cause BP be the biggest single contributor to nobama campaign. Why would a cracker think such a thing?

This story makes no sense. The government is intimately involved with the tests, and has people in the room where the data is collected — so they don’t need a “report”.

Further, BP has been reporting on the bubbles coming up near the well, it’s in their dailing briefings, and they’ve discussed how they are analyzing it and what it might be.

Seems to me...and pardon...if they increase pressure to equilibrium it will either rise or fall. If the pressure falls, there is a leak. Check the gas lines in your home.

It’s their seismic sweep, but I don’t know how to read it. Some sort of sonar mapping, looking to see if any there is any change in the substrata.

That may be the temperature reading. Should be about 40 degrees.

It is interesting to note however that these stories starting popping up right about the time that they did the testing on the gas sample of the leaking well head bubbles. Do not know what it could mean though. Some one trying to spread a scare story after good news deflated their balloon or someone sensationalizing the bad news story incorrectly.

If the story that there IS a story is to be believed, it suggests that BP has decided it likes having the well closed, and wants to keep it that way, or else force the government to ORDER them to open the well, which would pretty much make any more oil in the gulf the government’s problem.

So BP was hoping for a positive on Methane in the Well Head gas so the Government would order them to open up the well ? Tests show positive Methane. So then the government leaks this major seepage story to throw the political hot potato back in BPs lap ?

Or perhaps BP was hoping for negative Methane in the gas so they could keep the Well Head closed. Tests show negative Methane. Now the government wants it open cause it needs an accurate flow measurement for the spillage fines ? So they leak the seepage story.

Who the heck could figure out which scenario it is ? Perhaps there is yet a third possibility.
