Five Minutes With Andrew Breitbart
Politics Daily ^ | Saturday, July 24, 2010 | Matt Lewis

...Andrew Breitbart, 41... Formerly the editor of The Drudge Report, and a primary developer for The Huffington Post, Breitbart has come into his own in recent years as the conservative online publisher for various websites, including Breitbart.com, Breitbart.tv, Big Hollywood, Big Government, Big Journalism, and (the latest) Big Peace.

SNIP

A: Believe it or not, one of my primary motives on this planet is to stop this racism, and to stop the Democratic Party's use of race that divides us intentionally. Google me and Clarence Thomas. I went from left to right because I watched this tactic happen to him and I aligned myself with black conservatives. Free thinkers recognize the Democratic Party will do or say anything to instill fear into black Democratic voters...Shirley Sherrod in that video said those who disagree with Obamacare are coming from a racist point of view. That is a troubling racist sentiment.

Go ask black Tea Party candidate Cedra Crenshaw -- who was thrown off the ballot in Illinois on a technicality long before this story broke. We mounted an effort to get her back on the ballot that raised tens of thousands [of dollars]. She says we were the ones that successfully got her back on the ballot.

Why doesn't the media give Cedra a call and talk about my passion about making the Tea Party as inclusive as humanly possible? Why doesn't the media ask "Uni-Tea," a minority-based Tea Party event that I'm speaking to on July 31, and that I committed to long before this story broke why I do what I do -- and why I am so passionate about it?

But the JournoListers aren't about getting to the truth -- they are out to destroy their political enemy in the name of objective journalism.

Thanks for posting this. The backlash against scurrilous charges of racism is overdue. Breitbart scares them witless-and with good reason. Leftists will rue the day they came after him on issues of race. They are shameless hypocrites...and worse.

The push back has begun . Colter asked Sanchez (CNN) about the kiddie porn allegations against him . Let the feckless Pols cower . Free people with no race agenda do not have to roll over for the race pimps. Without that power they are finished .

The whole thing is crazy.
Indeed the original exerpt included her in the end giving the farmer assistance as it was about the "poor", rather than color.
I remember when it broke thinking she wound up doing the right thing and that this tape was not all that incriminating.
Not for her anyway.
The amazing thing is the administration and the media response.

I cannot believe how NO ONE is getting this story right.

Keep up the good work, Breitbart!!!

From your keyboard to God's ears. I'd like to think that Andrew Breitbart is just the guy to do it.

I did not know that. I hope he got the point. Namely, we conservatives are sick unto DEATH of being falsely accused. It seems like the dam broke all at once. Once these MSM bullies see that the jig is up, they’ll have to change the (racist) playbook. It’s only fun to poke a sleeping grizzly until it wakes up and starts looking for lunch.

I think Breitbart can do it because the wind is at his back. There are a lot of us who got fed up with being called racists all at once. Andrew is the spearhead, but he has a lot of thrust behind him.

You’re right about the original excerpt itself, but the captions/text commentary provided with it were misleading. I don’t know who did the captioning/text commentary.

The tape itself is not incriminating as it did show her coming around to non-racist thinking about the white farmer incident.

However, later in the tape, she calls people racists who disagree with her about the health care bill.

Exactly.

NONE of this would have happened if there hadn’t been a sustained campaign for almost 3 years now to label people racists if they oppose the Democrat agenda.

"Without that power they are finished."

YEP....the Bonfire of "racism" lit this week will hopefully burn out the whole issue soon....their chicken little rantings over the past 30 years are burning out....and people are getting tired of the same old rants that do not equal reality.

http://www.moonbattery.com/archives/2010/07/black-activist.html

The following is talking about Mary Francis Berry who said it ias good for democrats to paint the Tea Party as racists, they purge their own and become defensive.

Berry isn’t alone in her loathsome mendacity. On the establishment media’s Journolist, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent called for deliberately using false racism allegations against Karl Rove and Fred Barnes to create a smokescreen in defense of the very real racism of Jeremiah Wright and his protégé Barack Hussein Obama. There are still no takers for Andrew Breitbart’s offer to donate $10,000 to the United Negro College Fund if anyone can provide evidence that Congresscrumbs Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), John Lewis (D-GA), and Andre Carson (D-IN) aren’t lying when they claim to have been called the forbidden N word 15 times by Tea Partiers in front of a huge crowd bristling with videocameras.

It is pathetic that Andrew must defend himself - moreso - that it will do little good per MSM story, i.e., the one they have framed to serve their interests only, of course. The upside this week, is the exposure of Journo-list; to which we can nod our heads, and we never even have to ask why.

Meantime, kudos to Andrew and may his words be a collective and powerful, 'pie in the face' of those who imagine they have 'bested' him - and Fox News as well, for that matter.

I hope Breitbart.com and his et al web sites reap huge gains from this Alynsky charade.

(And yes, no question the Media on a tangent with NAACP story; a tangent I could not explain and wanted Fox News to do just that. Why do these people have such influence so that they can make false allegations, smears. . .and get so much face time, from their counterfeit efforts and yet the truth is all but stampeded in the process. An altogether, unfortunate unfolding for an extended news cycle. . .)

Yes, of course, ‘not just the poor’. . .but the have’s versus those that ‘have not’. ..and so, that justification for ‘redistribution of wealth’ was not far from surface of Sherrods words and her intent.

Amen. Count on the Left to overplay their hand every time. It takes a lot to get a massive backlash going-and they have succeeded. I hope the Dems enjoy their last few mos as the majority. Come Nov, there will be a new sheriff in town.

Yes, the USDA lady ultimately told a redemptive story and original reports implied otherwise. With that said, she sure is in the habit of using terms and phrases that would certainly blow-back on a white person.

She says ‘my people’ quite a bit and the term ‘one of their own’ is no problem for her, either. I’m just saying, these phrases are political incorrect for us white guys. And, how can she say people against Obamacare ‘have racists motives’ and not be called on that? What planet is she from? Plus, she bashed the GOP from her so called ‘neutral’ USDA position. There’s a law against this, I’m also certain.

Finally, that NAACP crowd sure seemed to be lapping up some of her negative positions towards white people. Could you imagine a white dude using her terms in reverse, getting hoots and hollers, and then just being able to ‘keep on, keeping on?” I can’t.

The bottom line to me is that the Dems and the left have been playing the ‘Race Card for damn near 50 years.’ Rarely, if ever, is it a fair card to play in today’s modern world. On the flip side, the left constantly skirts if not downright steps over the line of gentlemanly ‘debate’ and we all take it like a bunch of lemmings. I sure hope this incident marks the beginning of the end ‘political race speech’ in lieu of actual debate on the facts.

Hey lefties. Did you ever consider some folks just want the border to be controlled, government to be small, and taxes and regulations (though necessary for sure) to be as small and un-intrusive as possible? Moreover, did you ever consider that it may not whitey’s fault the black family is completely ruined in the inner cities? I’m just saying, perhaps it’s time to stop whining and start addressing these problems.....for real.
