After Palin Endorsement, N.H. Voters Sour On Ayotte For Senate
CQ ^ | 7/27/10 | staff

Expect to see a lot of analysis about what's going on in New Hampshire after this poll.

Public Policy Polling looked at the Senate race and found a striking change since Republican Kelly Ayotte scored an endorsement from Sarah Palin.

As a former attorney general, Ayotte has already run statewide and voters considering who they want to succeed retiring Sen. Judd Gregg ought to be at least somewhat familiar with her. But the Mama Grizzly seal of approval seems to have raised some doubts about Ayotte with the biggest bloc of voters in the state.

Ayotte's lead over Rep. Paul Hodes, the likely Democratic nominee, has been cut to 45 percent to 42 percent. That's within the 3.6-point margin of error.

Writes pollster Tom Jensen:

"There's not much doubt that the shift in the race is all about Ayotte. Hodes' favorability numbers have seen little change over the last three months. ... But Ayotte's seen a dramatic decline.

Let's look again at what you wrote:
Any Republican intending to run for office who disses Sarah Palin is not only going to be hurt in terms of popularity, but financially. Any up and coming radio host who disses Sarah Palin will never be able to get their feet off the group. Because at that point they are branded. We are in control here. I am not going to say we are in complete control of the nomination process, we won’t be. But anyone who is higher up on the food chain (not you) has a lot to lose by turning on Sarah Palin. And we are going to keep it that way. We are angry with the way things are. If we have to resort to back-stabbing and career ending tactics to save this country.. we have no choice.
Now, where is that thing about "regular people"? I must have missed it. What I see is a cult-like devotion to one person and threats to anyone who does not agree with YOU. Go ahead and change your screenname to se_ohio_young_facist - cuz you ain't no conservative with that kind of attitude.

I'm all for more regular folks getting involved in politics. I'm all for conservative voices. But no single politician represents "what [I] think America should be", and probably never will. So, when I disagree with them, I intend to say so. If people speak up, perhaps there is hope to sway them to the proper perspective. Why on earth would that be a "kick in the gut for us" or for anyone? Your desire for everyone to cowtow to Sarah on all issues is fanatical and downright scary. NO ONE should garner such support. Those who have are a pretty gruesome bunch: Hitler, Manson, Koresh....

Personally attack me all you want... I live bold and I expect it.

I get angry and go overboard sometimes. But I don’t believe the Palin haters really care much about this country. It almost seems to be a deranged obsession with bringing her down. That is just evil and wrong. They often sound like Rachael Maddow or Chris Matthews. That should spook them.

Let’s be honest and cut through the crap. There are two people that lead the pack when it comes to politics in this country in any conversation. It is Sarah Palin and Barack Obama. There is not much oxygen in the room for any pretty boy or greybeard candidates that the RNC can trot out. I happen to think it will come down to Sarah Palin vs Barack Obama.

None of this gutter snipping is productive. The Palin haters need to give her more respect. Because she deserves much better.

1. I didn’t attack you and have no desire to in the future.

2. Everyone who disagrees with Palin on some issues is not a “hater”

3. I can’t think of a single poster on FR that does not care about this country.

4. There is plenty of oxygen if you stepped out of your room and into the real world.

Hey Sparky, I was just trying to explain northeastern conservatives as I saw them to someone not from the area. I wasn’t promoting any particular candidate.

Sorry--understood.

However, I think it's pretty funny that someone from the Demokratik Socialist People's Republik of Washingtonistan, the state that has given us such luminaries as Christine Gregoire, Patty Murray, Jim McDermott, et al, should be slinging crap into OUR yard and bitching about RINO's.

Yeah, 30 years ago, before it got inundated with left wingers from Boston and NY.

” You know I really miss your Palin vanities. They were popular too. You never told us who convinced you to stop fighting for Sarah and to not post your regular vanities anymore. If she loses you will have to live with the fact that you gave up on her. “

LOL!!!!

I keep hoping that guy isn’t for real. If he is, he could be dangerous.

He is a perfect fit for this cultlike behavior around here.

If he posted the same threats to Obama that he posts to conservatives that aren’t willing to climb on board the love train, he would have the SS at his door.

“Yeah, 30 years ago, before it got inundated with left wingers from Boston and NY.”
I am one of those that escaped from MA; 15 years ago. If you look at where the Dems do well in NH, it is in the northern half of the state and the west, not the southern section where most of the MA people have moved to... Kerry won the counties in the west and north, but lost the south and central.
This election will reveal whether NH has gone blue or not. If Ayotte beats Hodes, the two seats in congress go Republican, the state house and senate change, then NH will be red again. The governor will probably win but that is due to the lack of a strong candidate. The state budget is a mess and he gave us gay marriage....

If you are happy with Obama and the way things are

I'm fed up with both parties, and unfortunately for Palin, she has allied herself with the establishment of one of them.

I am not convinced that you love this country.

Come back when you have actual ideas instead of ad hominems and jack-booted brownshirt thuggery.

You would cut off your arm to spite your finger.

Such actions are only necessary because useful idiots like you and your counterparts on the 'Rat side of the aisle let the gangrene spread all the way from the finger up the arm.

This is still our country and we are trying to save it.

From what, the evil Democrats?

How come people like you never speak up about evil Republicans and their assorted enablers, including Sarah Palin?

Anyone who disses Palin joins the same ranks with the MSM.

Riiiight. Just like anyone who opposes Obama is racist?

And there you have a glimpse into the mentality at work here, front and center. Here's Exhibit # 3 for you pissant.
