McMahon Campaign Hits Grimm For Taking "Jewish Money" (McMahon's the Democrat of course)
The New York Observer ^ | July 29, 2010 | David Freedlander

Mike Grimm, a G.O.P challenger for Mike McMahon's Congressional seat, took in over $200,000 in his last filing.

But in an effort to show that Grimm lacks support among voters in the district, which covers Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn, the McMahon campaign compiled a list of Jewish donors to Grimm and provided it to The Politicker.

The file, labeled "Grimm Jewish Money Q2," for the second quarter fundraising period, shows a list of over 80 names, a half-dozen of which in fact do hail from Staten Island, and a handful of others that list Brooklyn as home.

"Where is Grimm's money coming from," said Jennifer Nelson, McMahon's campaign spokeman. "There is a lot of Jewish money, a lot of money from people in Florida and Manhattan, retirees."

As a point of comparison, the campaign also provided in-district and out-of-district fundraising totals from McMahon and Grimm's G.O.P primary opponent, Michael Allegretti. However, they did not provide an out-of-district campaign filing from Grimm, but only a file of Jewish donors to him......

Oh man this is priceless. McMahon has basically accused Grimm of accepting “Jew gold”.

Democrats are supported in overwhelming disproportion by Jewish voters and Jewish financial contributors. So what is wrong with Jews occasionally contributing to Republicans?

This Democrat seems to be playing on anti-Jewish sentiment, which is quite amazing. It is also good grounds for his defeat in the election.

But for years, Democrats have been keeping alive Jewish fears, and posing as defenders. This new release from McMahon’s campaign shows how Democrats play both sides of the street, like all people with no principles.

What's wrong with Jewish money anyway?? Is this Congressional seat in an antisemitic area? Democrats are such HYPOCRITES! Without Big Media covering up for them while promoting them, they wouldn't win anything. This attack is appalling.

How does he know which donors happen to be Jewish? Did he get it from the Heinrich Himmler playbook?

I also wondered how they knew who was Jewish. Article says:

Nelson said that the list was compiled by the campaign's finance director, Debra Solomon and that she did not know exactly how the finance team knew who was Jewish and who was not.

"She herself is Jewish so she knows a lot of people in that community," Nelson said.

It's like some kind of weird twist on the "a lot of my best friends are Jewish" rationalization. But I thought this part was the best:

Nelson stressed that the point of compiling the list was not to show that Grimm had a lot of Jewish support, but that he had little support in the district.

You would think that in order to determine support "in the district," you would use addresses, not religious affiliation. Or is this guy's campaign manager saying Jewish people are not welcome in his district?

Oh yeah. This move will realy give McMahon's campaign a boost among the voters in Staten Island and Brooklyn.

I wonder if this is the same aid who was calling Debi Rose an Uncle Tom when she was running against McMahon for the seat. Democrats, the masters of projection. Aren’t Republicans the ones who are supposed to be mean sprited bigots?
