National Journal's Victor will have the scoop in tomorrow's edition of the National Journal magazine that Obama economic adviser Christina Romer is quitting the post. It all stems from her feeling -- despite her title as chairwoman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers -- that Larry Summers has more influence with the president.

Purges? Puh-leeze. Feel free to identify those "thoughtful and mature" posters that were "purged". I've been a member of FR for nearly 12 years, and JimRob has never run off anyone who didn't deserve a zot.

I'd rather be governed by those from my college dorm than all of the legislators (from both parties) in Washington DC and state houses throughout the land.

While there may not have been any official “purges”, a LOT of people are gone from this site, for various reasons. I myself left, at the height of the housing insanity, because I got tired of being accused of being a liberal for questioning the insanity going in with housing and liar loans, and being accused of trying to damage President Bush by daring to question it all. I know a lot of people felt the same way I did, and I don’t see them posting anymore.

All I know is this place is not half of what it used to be, which is a shame. There was a lot of nastiness over issues like the housing boom, Palin, etc.., and while it might not be JimRob doing it, some might see it that way if they don’t spend all day reading here - all they know is people they saw people stop posting.

Christina Romer did everything in her power to convince legislators and the electorate to approve a 850 BILLION dollar stimulus bill. Actions have consequences, at least for us they will. Christina Romer will ride off into the sunset and reap millions from her time in the Administration. She will be comfortable and prosperous. Nobody will hold her feet to the fire.

But I will. This damning graphic, taken from HER document, used to sell one of these programs which will be the ruination of this country. One of HER programs.
