Michelle Obama visits Spanish city of Ronda

RONDA, Spain — U.S. first lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha on Saturday visited the picturesque southern city of Ronda, once a favorite haunt of actor-director Orson Welles and author Ernest Hemingway.

Security was tight as Mrs. Obama and 9-year-old Sasha toured Santa Maria, a classic Andalusian-style church dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

The group — which included an unknown number of the first lady's friends — had driven into the hilltop city in a motorcade and later stopped for lunch at Del Escudero restaurant, set in a baronial style 19th century villa with typical whitewashed walls and red roof tiles located next to the bullring.

(snip)

The Obama party is due to attend a charity event hosted by actors Antonio Banderas and Eva Longoria on Saturday night, Marbella newspaper La Tribuna said.

Supposedly they pay their own hotel bills etc. However, flight over on a USA government Jet was paid for by us. I bet much more is paid for by the taxpayer also but they are cooking the books to make it seem otherwise. We are also paying for all the security personnel and for the first wookie's personal staff, AND we are paying for the part of the visit when she visits the Queen and King.

That's the best way to obscure and finesse it. Say they are paying their own way but in reality Michelle's posse is paying the rock bottom minimum for a very expensive trip with many extraneous expenses such as Secret Service

This is out of hand. Seriously. I honestly can not believe I am witnessing this and yet, the American people slumber on.

That’s great.

This shows the Obama’s are very keen on Islam and supporting them.

Andalusian was a former Muslim stronghold of the Iberian peninsula.

Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left
by David Horowitz

Amazon Book Review:
"Vastly Illuminating!" September 25, 2004
By Kat Bakhu

"I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.

It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.

Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.

This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air."

How fitting. House of the Moor King.

I thought of the exact same thing. Where does it say in our Constitution that the First Lady is entitled to a private jet and gets an unlimited expense account to go where ever she desires?

I’d like to see this bill given to the Obama’s to pay. I see no reason, or justification; that just because she’s one woman who may occassionally engage in sexual congress with the President; she’s entitled to a 4 yr, unlimited expense vacation with whomever she wants to take, and go whereever she desires to go.

This is what Democrats do, invent ‘rights’ and ‘priviledge’ and then abuse them. Clinton turned the White House Lincoln Bedroom into a private hotel/brothel.

“Hey Michelle do you still hate your country now that your $375,000 vacation was paid for by the tax payers? The only frigging family in the country that goes on vacation every other month.”

“For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country. SUCKERS!”

They always leave that off for some reason....

Diva First Wookie is retracing the steps of Evita Peron.

I think I’ll start writing a musical about the First Wookie “Don’t cry for me Chicago”

Michelle Obama:

“As you can see folks, the last go around, the Muslims made it ALL THE WAY TO SPAIN! Now that’s what I’m talk’n about people....this time, they’ll take over all of Europe and, what’s that - shut up? (political advisor whispers in Michelle’s ear). Any way folks, time for shopping!”

After reading the expenses for the Spain trip from Drudge (was linked to some UK paper), I was curious if there has been any other first family that has spent this much (or even close to it) in the history of the USA... As far as I know, Jackie O. is the next one...

This is getting more ridiculous every day :/

I think this is great. I think they should stop at Monaco next, with a stop at St. Barts on the return trip. The American public is taking note.
