It is heartbreaking looking back......even to only recently. But there is one thing DJ and I’m sure you can relate...we have voted the correct way and basically have lived our lives in peace and I suppose that is the problem isn’t it?
I remember in 1982 the movie Victor/Victoria came out and I watched it. It was hysterical and seemed at the time it was ridiculing the gay/transgender lifestyle. I mean how ridiculous....right? (this is what I kept thinking), ‘those’ people are out of their minds’ etc etc and thinking ‘it was just a movie’. Now I see it for what it was: an enroad into our lives. If you look back even farther, Spartacus, an academy award winning movie, had subtle overtures to homosexuality..Fast forward to the late 60’s & early 70’s, we had Al Pacino starring as a transgender individual in a movie..(sorry name escapes me).
And on and on it goes. Instead of us standing up at the time, the prevailing thought was probably ‘this too shall pass’. But it didn’t. I use Hollyweird as an example because they have made the greatest advances in drowning our culture in depravity.
Now we have to do ‘double time’ work to protect what we know is absolute and right in God’s eyes. Thing is, I’m not sure we can close pandora’s box now. I have a grandson for God’s sake, and he’s going to be thrust into this culture at some point. Even though my daughter inlaw is homeschooling. It is everywhere now.
True and we must fight. The battle is one that is joined because of the lack of strong moral leadership by our public officials and expressed public support by religious leaders and "the people" who have been cowed and brow-beaten by those with an agenda -- in lockstep with the MSM.
The only way the tide will be turned is if people stand up and urge our leaders to support moral views and policies and hold accountability. A so-called "gay" federal judge in San Francisco should not have the primary say about an issue such as homosexual marriage. The people of California voted in support of Prop 8 and Governor Arnie should be pushed to represent his constituents.

You’re right, younger people have been conditioned but it’s the people older than us and even our age that have thrusted this sewage on us but in the end, like you said, we said nothing. The blatant perversion started in the 70’s along with the gory violence and look at the Exorcist. What kind of crap was that?

It's become increasingly clear in the realm of the conservative grassroots both on and off the net, we're confronting the same social liberalism we fought years ago in the popular culture, with more frequent regularity and not only regarding homosexuality.
While homosexuals are permitted among our ranks, it should be with the hope and anticipation our conservative values and morality will influence their opinions and behaviors to become more conservative, and NOT our opinions and behavior to become more liberal.
One of the goals of conservatism, is to erase the division between groups created by the left, by generally refusing to refer to members of our movement as black conservatives or gay conservatives or female conservatives for example, instead referring to one another simply as "conservative." This ever growing use of the term gay conservatives among our own, is obviously the anti-thesis of that goal.
BTW, disagreement with Ann, even strongly, does not equal trashing Ann. I agree with Ann 95% or more of the time. She is unfortunately, very wrong on this issue.

Rushing, everyone doesn’t believe that homosexual behavior is a sin. I do, but it is part of my Christian faith. That is not something you can force on anyone. Many conservatives are not Christians; in fact there are many atheist conservatives and Republicans. I try to recognize those distinctions when I can.

I went to a local park once, and a lesbian group was having a rally... and they were playing this hideous thumping music that had a voice-over that was an endloess stream of “A typical kmale beats women 3 times per month” and “A typical male rapes 7 women in his lifetime” and etc etc etc
And I started to walk over there to ask them if they really believe that, and I was shocked byt this group. Hald needed a shave, and the pother half looked like thye wanted to kill me.
I am 6’5 and walk into any biker bar and feel less fear then I felt walkking to this group. I just skmiled and walked past them. I swear there was more testosterone coming from this group than all the rest of the guys in the park.
I walked away convinced it was 100% genetic. I am sure there are some beautiful lesbians.... (like any freepers, I am sure)
When I was a kid there was a lesbian bar in Toledo, Philcoff’s. It was right downtown and near a popular theater. These “women” walked around dressed in leathers and spiked dog collars with very short hair. It was unusual for the 50’s. I asked my mother what they were (they heard me) and she said SHHHHH! She darn near ran the other way dragging me behind her.
