The five-month-old Republican gay group GOProud wanted to create a big splash with its first convention, Homocon 2010 (that is a real name that we did not make up). And to do so, they lined up a whopper of a headliner. Says chairman Christopher Barron:
"The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests. Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the ‘no fun police’ on the left. I can’t think of any conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland’ - Ann Coulter. I can promise you, Homocon 2010 will be a hell of a lot more fun than chaining yourself to the White House fence."
Comparing Ann Coulter to Dorothy might strike you as a little odd, considering she throws around the word "faggot" in a derogatory way. (Someone, perhaps more aptly, compared her to the Wicked Witch of the West on this particular issue.) But somehow her presence is almost less offensive than the fact that Homocon's recruitment poster kinda calls all Democrats gay.

How did you come to this conclusion? I would submit that there are more than a few libertarians that don’t really care one way or another on the subject (and yes, I know that the founder is supposed to be an opponent of the gay-agenda, but he is an opponent of many other agendas as well). In any event, FR is now greater than the sum of its parts. In addition, simply being conservative does not mean one is a religious conservative.
There are all sorts of flavors of conservatism, and if FR was populated by only religious conservatives it would be a pale representation of what it is now. You may wish that FR was otherwise, but the Conservative cause (which the anti-gay agenda is only a subset in the religious category), has greater challenges than concerning themselves with whatever the gay-agenda du jour is at the moment.
In the end, “boresighting” homosexuals will not save the Republic when full blown Marxism is in the political winds. It’s time that the homophobes, whether religious or otherwise, improved their situational awareness.

"Big Tent" politics got us into this mess. It will NOT get us out of it. I will NOT join hands and sing Kumbaya with those that are trying to derail morality in this country.
Validating a mental illness is not in our best interests. One does NOT give special rights to someone based on an immoral sickness.

If you want to understand my point, it is this, very simply:
Homosexual behavior is unnatural, immoral, unhealthy and destructive. It should never be encouraged or “celebrated” and public displays of such should be illegal, as they were until a very bad SCOTUS decision a few years ago.
Homosexuality is a psychological problem and serious character flaw and people with it should not be allowed in the military or in positions which require security clearances, at the very least.
It seems that you are comparing adherents of various religions with homosexuals, and that is very offensive and a false comparison in every way.

The Log Cabin “Republicans” mostly voted for 0thugga. They are, just like the GOProud group, concerned with advancing the homosexual agenda and trying to push the Repbulican party in their own personal direction; which is to promote the homoseuxal agenda.
They appear to want lower taxes and to keep and bear arms; everything else is non-adulterated “gay” agenda junk.

I have no doubt Ann is a woman. I don’t really care if she is hetero- or homosexual.
What I care about is she has warred against the Left her entire career. I agree with about 98% of her POV.
FR is a conservative site. We do not appreciate our members fighting against us on our conservative values and issues. If you wish to support homosexual marriage or homosexuals in the military or hate crimes against us for speaking out against government promotion of homosexuality that’s your business, but you’d better do it somewhere else and not on FR. If you value your posting privileges, that is. FR is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-marriage, pro-military, pro-traditional American conservatism and it is a privilege to post here. Those who support the godless liberal/Marxist destruction of our free society and our country are free to exercise their free speech rights elsewhere. I won’t stand in your way.
