WASHINGTON--Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha returned from Spain on Sunday, a vacation at a lavish hotel on the Mediterranean coast that triggered her first controversy since becoming first lady. I'm told she made the trip because she promised one of her closest friends, a longtime Chicago pal who just lost her father, she would spend time with her.

So why did Mrs. Obama go to Spain at this time? She's not tone-deaf politically. What was behind the "mother-daughter" vacation?
A White House source told me that Blanchard's father passed away and Mrs. Obama was not able to make the funeral at the beginning of July. Blanchard had promised her daughter she would take her to Spain for her birthday. She asked Mrs. Obama and Sasha to come with. (Malia is at overnight camp.)
"She felt it was important as a dear friend to do this," I was told.

Here’s a thought. What if this trip WAS months in planning and Obama was supposed to have gone also. What if Michelle and BHO can’t stand each other anymore and one of them refused to go with the other? That would explain the outlandish overdone explanations and the strangeness of the family being in three separate locations over BHO’s birthday.

The OB/GYN is the one who asked obozo’s wife to accompany her on the trip so how did we get stuck with the bill?
Again according to the article, supposedly those making the trip were 3 women (including obozo’s wife) with 4 daughters, 6 WH staffers, 2 East Wing staffers, 1 Chief of Staff, 1 personal assistant, 3 shifts of Secret Service (how many in a shift)...then there’s the air crew, drivers of the SUV’s which must be Secret Service.....does this account for 60 rooms - 1/2 of the available rooms at the hotel?
From looking at the many pictures posted of the “walking/shopping tour” etc., I don’t see anyone in the group who resembles a professional - like an OB/GYN.....some women with scowls on their faces! No sign of other kids except one going into the water with Sasha at the roped off beach. Perhaps the other daughters were older, who knows?

It’s been reported that he was staying at the same hotel at the same time. The impression was that he ‘just happened’ to be there too. Not sure what the real truth is anymore. With these fraudsters and thugs, one never knows. Jackson should be pillored for going on such an expensive trip too btw and perhaps that’s why the fact that he was there was leaked(hoping the media would ask questions about him, instead of Queen Mich)?

It’s possible that after the incident in Desert Island Maine, when obama body man Reggie sashayed off the private jet with Bo the dog, me-shelle put her hefty foot down over taking Barry’s gay boys/personal pharmacists on any future family vacations.
Given the choice, Barry stayed home and she went to Spain without him.
We’ll see what happens in Martha’s Vineyard!

The real spin is Obama was suppose to make the trip to see the Saudis. Why he didn’t is anyone’s guess so he sent his mule.
