Inside story of Michelle's trip (Damage control)

WASHINGTON--Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha returned from Spain on Sunday, a vacation at a lavish hotel on the Mediterranean coast that triggered her first controversy since becoming first lady. I'm told she made the trip because she promised one of her closest friends, a longtime Chicago pal who just lost her father, she would spend time with her.

So why did Mrs. Obama go to Spain at this time? She's not tone-deaf politically. What was behind the "mother-daughter" vacation?

A White House source told me that Blanchard's father passed away and Mrs. Obama was not able to make the funeral at the beginning of July. Blanchard had promised her daughter she would take her to Spain for her birthday. She asked Mrs. Obama and Sasha to come with. (Malia is at overnight camp.)

"She felt it was important as a dear friend to do this," I was told.

Maybe if she takes a few more $375,000 vacations on the taxpayers dime, she will start to be "proud to be an American?" And remember---the first story out was that she was going to Spain (not for her bereaved friend) but b/c she wanted to focus on being a Mom. Since the other daughter is away at camp---does this to mean another $375,000 vacation to focus on being a mom? These two Lower Slobbovians are dragging free Americans into the slavery of Marxism WHILE THEY enjoy the benefits of capitalism.

Thanks for the ping, I have been very busy in my own little spot on this globe, so I have not been able to keep up with the BamBam/Me-shell drama they are presenting US.

What little 'news' I have kept up on, seemed to me that Me-shell's vacation was by design, timed to respond to a 'presidential' appearing wedding that took place.... at about the same time she took off for her 'let them eat cake' vacation. Me-shell knew very well our state run media would coordinate her publicity.
