Palin to Obama on Ground Zero Mosque: "This Is Not Above Your Pay Grade" BY John McCormack August 14, 2010 6:58 PM
Sarah Palin responds to the president's comments on the Ground Zero mosque:
Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive "cross-cultural engagement" and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven't they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite? Mr. President, why aren't you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson's generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven't they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as "hallowed ground"? I believe these are legitimate questions to ask.
You may be more right on the history than I am. Cordoba is in southern Spain, about 100 miles NNE of Gibraltar. A quick web glance shows that Cordoba was a major Muslim metropolis for hundreds of years, and the site of a Great Mosque. Maybe that's the motive--once something is in the Dar-al-Islam, its never supposed to leave. I agree on the gloat motive.
True. But look at the cheesy, faux wood dash in my previous post with “Corinthian leather.”
Let me put it differently. What mattered to me was Ricardo’s pronunciation of “Corinthian leather.” I didn’t expect quality, I just enjoyed the commercial.
Whut????
It has nothing to do with the car. “PearsBeforeSwine” was correct in #4. It has to do with Cordoba, Spain. To a muslim it is a battle cry, just as “Remember the Alamo” or “Remember Pearl Harbor” is to an American. The building of that mosque, if it happens, will be a “victory lap” commemorating 9-11.
Odumba really, really stepped in it this time and it's not going to go away.
Lighten up. We know it has nothing to do with the car. It was a play on words.
“We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they”
At least Palin adimits they have the right to build what they want on there private property as we all should.

>With Rich Corinthian Leather!
Arrgh! You beat me to it!
My dad had one. Nice!
Obama used the “That’s above my pay grade.” quote during the campaign and wouldn’t answer the question when asked about abortion.
So sounds like she is using the truth against Obama.
Folks, this is just a sign of things to come. If you think Sarah Palin is hitting BHO hard in the cojones now, wait until it’s her vs. him in the 2012 general election. Really, I can’t believe some here don’t see that she will be the GOP nominee and next President. It could not be more obvious.
She’s calling him out. She can say whatever she believes. And she is usually right. But if she becomes a candidate, she would have to rein it in, become different. We need her to be the way she is, telling the truth without fear.
Well, smalltownslick, she is telling the truth without fear.
Deal with it. This is the big leagues played in the big town, not in a small town, slick.
And why name it Cordoba”?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++===
Because of the rich, Corinthian leather :)
I think you should read my post again. That’s what I said.
>With Rich Corinthian Leather!
But my Dad’s Cordoba did NOT have the “rich Corinthian leather”.
