BILL O'REILLY, FOX NEWS HOST: Thanks for staying with us. I'm Bill O'Reilly.
In the "At Your Beck and Call" segment tonight, later this month, our pal Glenn Beck will hold a rally in Washington, D.C., on the same day that Al Sharpton is also holding a rally. Now, that's causing some controversy, and I spoke with Beck about it last night.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
O'REILLY: So here's Beck, and he's got a big event coming up shortly on August 28 in Washington, D.C.
GLENN BECK, FOX NEWS HOST: Yes.
O'REILLY: And that is the anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech.
BECK: Yes.
O'REILLY: OK. Now, I want you to read you Ben Jealous. You know our pal Ben? Big fans of both you and me. He loves us. He's the head of the NAACP. And he says, quote, "We will be fighting Glenn Beck on August 28. And we will be using that leverage, the second march."
So it looks like Ben Jealous, because Al Sharpton is going to be down there and he's having an event.
BECK: And a bunch of other people.
O'REILLY: They think that you're trying to denigrate Dr. King in some way.
BECK: May I ask a question? And I mean this in all sincerity. Do white people own the legacy of Abraham Lincoln? Because I don't think they do. And I don't think black people own the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. It's the idea of the content of character.
O'REILLY: But I'm worried about that there might be trouble down there. You see what I mean?
BECK: There's not going to be trouble.
O'REILLY: You don't think so?
BECK: There's not going to be trouble.

I think Bill bends over too far backwards sometimes to give the leftists a platform and courtesy, but I don’t think he’s “one of the stupidest idiots on television” by a long shot. I mean, it’s all relative. Have you seen Olbermann??
lol. Absolutely. Olbermann rants like his head is about to explode.
But I can't stand O'Blowhard anyway. I never forgave him for dismissing the Swiftboat story out of hand.
I think what he does is bend over forwards.
Actually Bill shapton is holding a rally on the same day as Glenn.
That being said my concern is that obama and the regime will turn loose the urban yoots, his brownshirts, on the rally goers as they travel to and from the area. They will be unarmed.
I can’t but get the feeling Saturday will be more of a Kumbayah event with a religious theme than a Constitutional theme.
I try to remember to tune in BOR on Wednesday night for the Dennis Miller segment. That’s about it. He’s nearly as annoying as Shep Smith!

My guess is the left will try to orchestrate some racist thing like the fakery they did over the Healthcare bill.

That’s probably correct. Still perplexed with Beck’s no-show at last year’s 9-12 event. I first heard about it on his program, then right before the event he announced that he wasn’t going to be there.
Is BOR suggesting that Americans should run away and be intimidated by possible trouble? That threat of violence should get us to sit down and shut up?
O’Reilly is crazy like a Fox. Every time he lets the lefties talk more the crazier they sound.
I think that’s part of why we decided not to go. I am as religious as the next guy, but my discomfort level with Beck is a bit on the down side right now. We wanted to see Mrs. Palin, but the hassel of going to DC, even from where we are has to be weighed against the return.
I don’t want to be preached at, nor do I want a “Kumbayah” moment from Beck. My BS bell went off when he “worried” about Americans rising up to retake their country on one hand, and his constant pounding of the Founders and the Constitution on the other. There seems to be a bit of a disconnect there, IMO he is not getting it at all.
Just a hunch. Virginia is open carry and shall issue. In DC it is “NO CARRY” period, not even in your car.
