We were at both as well and the difficulty getting into and out of DC yesterday was something I had never experienced before. We tried the green line and the blue and they were both swamped.

This is a really great day for America. It was a call to action to once again trust God for our salvation and deliverance for our nation. I salute Glenn Beck for taking the time and money to do this. America needed this right now and it is up to us to continue what has been started today in seeking God and restoring honor to all of us and this great nation. Without God and our Lord Jesus Christ it can not be done.

So I gladly kneel before God and ask his forgiveness and for him to bless our nation once again and turn the tide of evil and darkness that would over take us and help us to once again be salt and light unto the world. In Jesus’ Holy Name Amen.

A heartfelt AMEN and AMEN!!!! (The day after this event. :)

May the Holy Spirit sweep across this land and light a fire of righteousness and integrity in all who name the Name of Jesus, and may it spread and grow so that this land might be healed! In Christ's strong Name, AMEN!

Sorry, this is a delayed, live thread reply.

My family and I were there yesterday and we were surrounded by masses of wonderful, patriotic humanity. But, it seems that every other one was trying to Tweet or text with an iPhone. Naturally, the nearby AT&T towers were paralyzed.

Therefore, I'm somewhat delayed with posting our first-person photos for the enjoyment of any of you that couldn't make it. Hope you enjoy them. Pass them on if you'd like.

We need the people in that crowd and beyond. The American people are the only ones with the real power to change anything in this country. The american pople were the ones that spontaneously came together to fight back. If REAL change happens in Washington THEY are the ones I’ll be thanking.

As long as we keep electing RINOs and CINOs, we aren't going to get real change, we'll keep getting the same damn politicians that care only about their careers and the next election.

I don't see that changing either. A lot of people don't seem to understand that voting for a liberal with an (R) next to their name is no different than voting for a liberal with a (D) next to their name, and they'll keep on ignorantly voting in RINOs and wondering why nothing is changing.

If MLK were alive, he'd be supporting UHC, which means he would not be on that stage.

I'm bustin’ my buttons I'm so proud of us all and this nation we call home. Thank you Glenn Beck for stepping up, speaking out and teaching us all that we've learned.

Thank you fellow patriots for coming together and reflecting on how we MUST RESTORE HONOR. The path to reclaiming this country begins with a strong foundation, and we begin with HONOR. We must return to our religious beliefs and values. And we must teach our children...they are at serious risk, and we are at risk of losing them to the infiltration of socialist teachings/lies. We must not deviate from our responsibility to teach them OUR values and the true history of our country.

When you see obama and his minions open their mouths and spew the lies, threats, deceit, corruption, greed, narcissistic behavior in words and actions, ridicule them, challenge them and remember that we are not socialists..we are patriots who believe in the Constitution, liberty and the freedom to pursue happiness.

We've got some hard work to do in November, so let's roll. God bless America.

I’m coming in “late” to this discussion, but I have wondered the same thing and the answer I usually come up with is as follows...

Parents sometimes have to let their children fail, so that they can learn the real truths that aren’t evident to them before that learning experience.

In the case of the folks residing here in these United States - along with Canedawg’s excellent observation - there is probably a high likelihood of God deciding that we needed a “hard lesson”... With the threat of Islam growing rapidly here at home even, perhaps we needed someone like Obama to get people out of their chairs and take a stand — perhaps now to shake out the bad seeds within the government that would prevent us from winning a future battle that is even more dangerous (like fighting against the Muslims and their plans for conquering us with sharia law which is wholly unconstitutional).

There are probably a million and one or more scenarios I can think of where this bit of “bad” is needed to realize richer positive things in the future. We are certainly a nation full of people who take things for granted - a nation full of those who expect something for nothing... God is perhaps NOT sparing the rod at this time?

Unlike some I’ve heard talking here and elsewhere that think God has ‘’left” this country — i say NEVER, because of His promise to us. The promise God made was to us as individual souls, and not to any nation. Hold firm in faith of Him, and with that we can weather any storm — even the really bad ones like having this tyrannical Marxist/Muslim in the White House.

I don’t think Carter did as bad a job as Obama, obviously — but, if Carter got us to Reagan, I can’t wait to see who will rise up and take the reins.

Even the most critical leftists could not deny that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS attended the ANTI-Obama policy rally, with some estimates going as high as nearly one million people - who carried no signs and left no trash behind!!

Obama's apparent hatred for America seems to be ignoring the destruction of our country he is causing on an insane level - whether from sheer ignorance, inexperience or as part of his determined imposition of his Marxist-Islamist ideology.

His "insane change ideology" can be seen in his reporting Arizona to the United Nations Human Rights Commissions, which with over 50 Islamic members and Obama's backing/encouragement are issuing a condemnation of Arizona's Human Rights policies (illegal alien SB 1070) - while IGNORING the brutal Human Rights violations in Islamic Iran, Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and a host of other countries that kill, rape, torture their populations on a daily  basis and often breed terrorists to attack America.

Little wonder when he drops cases against the Black Panthers for threatening our freedoms, he stops the prosecution of the SS COLE ship terror attack in Yemen,  he sabotages the prosecution of the 9/11 attack by trying to turn it into a CIVILIAN criminal prosecution instead of allowing military tribunals to go ahead as planned, he blocks (puts on hold) the Fort Worth prosecution of Moslem Major Nidal Hasan, who killed a bunch of innocent, unarmed Americans - I could go on and on - but Obama's underlying ORDERS BANNING any mention of Islam and Terror in the same context underline and emphasise his bias against the country HE MAY NOT even be eligible to lead. Obama consistently perverts justice to favor those HE favors and uses thuggish actions to impose his twisted ideology like the street level goon he grew up to become, inspired by the Liberation Theology of people like Reverend Wright he espoused.

Where America is the oppressor and the whole world is the victim, specially his Moslem nation backers and his good buddy George Soros, who stands to make BILLIONS when the US Dollar crashes. And who will use his investment/shares in Brazilian oil with which to barter for whatever he and his family needs.

We the people will have been financially enslaved and not feast at his and Obama's table.

AND gold or other precious metal will not be the answer. Whoever tries to buy it will have to pay for it with WHAT? A worthless currency. So your  gold holdings would be worth a few cents at best or in fact NOTHING.

And efforts to barter it, or silver, will receive some response to start with but when it becomes a useless piece of metal that nobody can use, like any paper currency, then pure barter of an item of service will become the going "currency" or locally printed "money scripp" good for your neighborhood or municipality only. These might combine into slightly larger communities.

There were roped off stairways on either side of the main steps. The Park Service personnel kept a brisk traffic going both up and down. Most people were like us and only wanted to stay awhile for pictures and then came back down, opening up space for others.

What a considerate, polite, well-mannered crowd! But then we all knew that, didn't we?
