She and her father just might have a huge interest in some scheme that her committee chairmanship can steer his way through a myraid of others.

How will Joe, the junior senator re structure the Federal Government to reduce the power of the Government? Do you know Lisa's voting record on less Federal Government?
Can you tell me Joe's plans on how he intends to make your statements work? Has Joe ever informed the public that he intends to re structure the Senate to reduce Federal Government? Does he plan to eliminate the energy committee?

What is the scheme? I do not have knowledge of any scheme and I do know that the chairman is a very important position to open more of Alaska to natural resource extraction. Lisa fully supports natural resource extraction and will be in a very powerful position to make that happen. On the other hand any scheme Joe as a junior Senator may have for any thing just will not have an impact in the Senate. Ak Senator MB is a very junior Senator in the majority, what has he done for Alaska? Joe will do even less.

This might prove to be the battle to end all battles.

I have a theory I am mulling.

The number of outstanding absentee ballots grew dramatically from election night’s 16,000 to today’s 23,000+.

Lisa knew on election night that she was losing. I am thinking her team could have dumped thousands of absentees into the mail to meet the postmarks, but those mass mailings will catch the eye of the Republican Lt. Governor in charge of the election. That’s why Joe Miller and his team are raising hell and that’s why Lisa has called-in the NRSC to help her.

I could be out to lunch and wearing tight tin foil, but at this point, anything is possible, and I can’t think of another explanation for the dramatic increase in the number of absentee ballots.

Why do you call Lisa a crook? What has she done that makes you think that she is a crook?

I wouldn’t put anything past the NRSC, John Cornyn and the establishment. The battle for the GOP has definitely begun and sadly, my senator John Cornyn looks to be on the wrong side. I hope Texans don’t forget this.

This is getting UNREAL, isn;t it?

I am calling Cornyn and Hatch, tomorrow.

Orin is second in line at NRSC.

The Murkowskis ascension in Alaska is all about favoritism, with a wide open frontier with not a whole lot of people but a vast wealth of resources they have been right on top of anything that went boom.

Though its rather harsh to say corrupt they most definitely were involved in deals and back room handshakes for decades. They do not have a high opinion of honesty by most Alaskans.

And I happen to be an Alaskan, the old royalty of Alaska is a dying breed and the people of this generation made up of the “newcomers” or cheechakos see the light, and they don’t want family generations being their representatives any more.

All the more reason Joe Miller is the best person and image of the average Alaska, he is one of us.

At this point you are right. I quit calling myself a Republican sometime ago. I am a Conservative.
Both parties have gotten so corrupt it is unreal. The Republicans decided that they should be like Democrats and Bush might as well have been a Democrat the way he governed and spewed out new Entitlement Programs.
The Day Of Reckoning is at hand politically, in November we shall see.
Personally I am not excited at the prospect of John Boehner becoming Speaker of the House, no backbone and certainly not a Conservative in my book.

Yes, I also thought I read that "they" (the election authority-whatever it's called) state that there were 16,000 outstanding absentee ballots!

Yet, now 23,000+ have been received!

I can only think that "someone" mass mailed thousands on election night to make the postmark after "someone" started to watch the returns and saw that "someone" way behind.

Do you have any other ideas to explain this dramatic increase?

What unethical back room transactions has Lisa performed? Has Joe informed us of these deals? Do have details or are you just slinging mud?

The number of questionable ballots went up, plus 500 or so early votes I think. If I understand right they have been sorting and will know the totals the republicans are working with tomorrow, will count them Tuesday.

The Division of Elections said Saturday that it had 23,472 ballots to process so far. Most are expected to be cast for the Republican primary race between Miller and Murkowski, but a portion will be for the Democratic primary instead. The tally includes 13,740 absentee votes, out of a reported 16,000 absentee ballots that had been requested. There are another 9,069 questioned ballots, some of which will be disqualified. Elections officials said there are also 663 early votes that still need to be counted

Ah, here's the answer.
