It’s not rocket science. A stimulus that turned out to be nothing but the biggest porkfest in history, a healthcare bill rammed past the tonsils of an angry and unwilling population, skyrocketing unemployment and a “president” and wife who party like retired rock stars...

In every way, the Dems are acting just as aloof and condescending as entrenched royalty who are utterly perplexed at the uppity antics of the peasantry.

Somehow all this talk of a GOP landslide only makes me believe it’s intended to breed complacency on our side, or give the dems reason to celebrate when the talk turns out to be hype.

We may win a significant portion of Congress (and I hope we do), but I’m not ready to simply assume it’s going to happen.

They walked off the cliff in lockstep following Pelosi and Reid.

Why the Dems are in the shape there in can be found in the majority of comments on the Times.

Obama was not progressive enough.

Right-wing media and its lies.

Didn’t spend enough on the stimulus.

The evil Tea-Parties

A few of the Times 1000 readers blame the economy with one even realizing overruling the votes of 7 million Californians on marriage and taking Arizona to court, hurt Obama; yet, even they still do not get it.

Americas feels they were duped (they weren’t, Conservatives were screaming at the top of our lungs how bad Obama and the Dems would be) and after sending a few messages to move to the middle (Ma, Va, Nj) only to be ignored, they are doing the only thing they can. Throwing out as many Democrats and RINO’s as possible.

It's not just talk.

Have you not noticed the near-revolutionary rise of the Tea Party?

Have you not noticed that conservatives are suddenly fairing very well in elections around the country?

Have you not watched Obama and the Democrats' polling numbers steadily eroding?

Have you not seen them make historic blunder, after historic blunder since they've had total control of our government?

Have you not seen them spit in the eye of the majority of Americans at every turn - siding with our enemies, and promoting legislation and agendas that most Americans oppose?

No, it's not just talk. The Democrats are being rejected in an historic landslide before your very eyes. Remember this time. It's one for the history books.

Here's a good example of a Democrat getting it wrong (from the blog post):

"...health care might have been unpopular, for instance, but the reason for its unpopularity may ultimately have been the economy."

This guy completely fails to see the basic disagreement Americans have with government mandated health care - which is, it isn't free, it's a gargantuan gov't takeover of a large and important sector of the private sector (which may not even be constitutional), and it's an abridgment of basic individual rights.

Instead of simply observing with his own two eyes, and making note of what he sees, this lib substitutes his own theory as to why Americans oppose(d) Obamacare. If he'd been listening during the nine months the Democrats were trying to get it passed, he would have heard the American people's concerns.

Obviously, he's been listening to the MSM, Obama, Pelosi, et al, and so he's surprised that Americans are exploding in rage at the Dems.

The Democrats got here by waking the dead every election night and by frightening old people and exploiting the poor.

There does seem to be somewhat of a wishfulness attitude with some in the media that it’s a given Dems are going down and if they reassure enough people of this, they may sit home.

Hasn’t happened yet. Tons of states are reporting record turn-outs for mid-term and primary elections.

There does not seem, so far, to be a slowing down of Americans who are can’t wait to vote as well as those who are FINALLY paying attention to what their government is doing.

Our side can’t become complacent or assume currently momentum means we will simply win. One or two election cycles is not enough to give this country the enema is desperately needs.

Perfect case of navel gazing. Why do college students like sex and beer? Why do dems like socialism and totalitarianism? They just go hand in hand.
