The Talk Shows
Sunday, September 5th, 2010
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.; Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.; David Plouffe, President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign manager.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Laura Tyson, former Clinton economic adviser; Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Todd McCracken, president of the National Small Business Association; Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO.
Need some good info on what is happening in Colorado.
Sounds like chaos.
I watched most of the Tony Blair interview with I'm so Poor on ABC without anyone in particular doing the hosting job, and I'm probably as confused about Blair as I was before the interview.
This guy can not be pigeonholed as either lib or a conservative,he's really neither.
On the one hand he supported us when we needed it during Iraq and seemed to understand why we needed at least one ally in the mid- east beside Israel, what a tyrant Sadaam was and why he had to go.
But on the other hand he condones global warming and Bubba which is beyond the pale.
Hes a confusing but likable sort of guy.
I recently applied for a building permit for a new house.
It was going to be 100 ft tall and 400 ft wide with 9 turrets at various heights and windows all over the place and a loud outside entertainment sound system. It would have parking for 200 cars and I was going to paint it snot green with pink trim.
The City Council told me to go to hell.
So I sent in the application again; but this time I called it a Mosque.
Work starts on Monday...
Truth is I believe our plan comes out in a few weeks.
Right. She’s not acting. I stand happily corrected.
Do you think Palin’s endorsement would help Christine in Delaware?
Good Lord. That thing looks like they decided to turn the Planet Hollywood in Vegas back into the Aladdin.
Anyone who watches these three in the am gets the picture that there is a lot of hold back going on due to the politics of the net.
I think GE would be lot happier if there were two MSNBC's rather than just one.
My major concern is that these late primaries hurt our troops. They have a long wait for the ballots since the late primaries are used as an excuse to delay their ballots.
Wow that’s a shame, I’m sorry there is no endorsement by Sarah.
Good to see you bud, lots going on today. It cooled off here this week. Got all the way down to 79 for a few hours.
That’s funny. Would be a likely scenario too.
Rarely do you get one bit of truth from anyone on CNBC.
What a disgrace. There was a report that early on they held a meeting with the on air personalities and ordered them NOT to criticize Obama.
It will be interesting to see if Covert Affairs can avoid that. The show's creator is the guy who did the Bourne Trilogy movies. If Matt Damon suddenly shows up in a storyline it might be a red flag... /g
On the other hand, last season an episode of Burn Notice featured a copy of Freeper Travis McGee's book Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista as a prop on Michael Weston's coffee table. It seems that patriotic Americans might actually have some friends in the "vast wasteland" of TV... /g
Denver got down to the high 40s overnight last week. So there!!! LOL
Oh I think a Palin endorsement would push COD over the top. I too am hoping for a last minute endorsement but I’ve been so heart-broken by the unfairness of it all that I’m braced for disappointment.
COD, polls now show, is within 2 points of Castle, which has Castle scared bejeesus. And Tea Party type of candidates do tend to make big surges toward the end of their campaigns, we know this. Castle was totally ignoring COD up until recently. His campaign is not stupid. Now they are running awful attack ads and the Delaware Blue Blood Ruling Class GOP Chairperson put out an awful press release calling COD everything but a Baltimore Street whore. Again, I can’t say this enough....THIS IS THE PARTY THAT URGED US TO VOTE FOR HER IN 2008!!!
All this for the worst RINO on the planet, on the level of DIDI Scuzzafava folks.
There’s no reason why COD can’t win this. Remember, it’s a REPUBLICAN primary. And like I argue, do NOT believe that she’ll not be able to beat the Dem expected candidate, some little midget guy no one heard of, Chris Coons.
Here’s the scoop....let Christine O’Donnell beat Mike Castle. Imagine, a young, pretty woman who was beat on like a rented mule by the Ruling Class Blue Blood Delaware GOP to come from behind and kick out this fixture in the swamp state....folks, she’ll be the darling of the media.
She’ll be on Fox News...who, as an aside and little scoop, Christine once worked for, yes she did. Christine was a pundit called on to comment on local politics....she was on Fox News quite a bit. She’ll likely even be on CNN, maybe MTP. Definitely Access Hollywood for the All American Girl Kicks Out Old Fossel...hell she might be a contender for Dancing With the Stars.
In short, COD will get so much national exposure because hers will be the all-American story. Even the entrenched media won’t be able to ignore this story.
The Dems up in Wilmington, who vote Dem cause someone tells them to, will even sit up and take notice.
What? You think little midget burger Chris Coons is going to get this sort of attention?
So while they argue that COD can’t beat the Dem candidate, I’d bet a bridge, cheap and recently renovated, that she’ll beat Coons handily. Nobody likes that guy anyway.
Late! Gov. Palin endorsed Joe Miller on the 3rd of June. That was three months before the primary.
Morning, CO decided to go against the national tide in our governors race. Republicans have once again formed a circular firing squad, with the intent of shooting ourselves before the election can take place. GOP endorsements and money have dried up for the GOP candidate.
The CO GOP failed to vet either front runner candidate. One point of good news from all this is now the tea party patriots know they need to vet candidates before either they or the 9:12 people back someone. Just because a candidate says something does not mean that’s their true belief.
It’s sickening. How does Brian Williams sleep at night ? The trash I see him spewing is unbelievable, difficult to do with a straight face. During Earl, I saw 5 minutes max of NBC news and got a year’s worth of propaganda. His megabuck salary has bought and paid for his submission, obviously.
Miss Monk, deeply....and another example of entertainment without politics.
Well like I said, I don't think Palin's going to endorse Christine. I don't know why and I sure don't know how such things are decided.
And, again, like I said, we've another candidate, a serious Conservative that the Ruling Class Blue Blood Delaware GOP are beating on....name Glen Urquhart, who'd also like an endorsement by Palin.
I don't think Palin wants to get involved with Delaware politics...I don't know why.
Below, a pic of my granddaughter with Christine.
The way you have to deal with Blair is to always remember that, no matter how likable and charming he may be, he's an ardent, committed socialist, completely dedicated to the globalist agenda. He had his reasons for standing by us and Bush during the Iraq war, but he was also directly involved and instrumental in imposing the Labour policies which are destroying Britain's culture, economy and sovereignty. He is also actively involved in efforts to sell-out and betray Israel. The damage he has done and continues to do far outweighs the momentary good he did vis a vis Iraq.
Me too. And as the parent of an OCD child, the program kept me ROTFLOL.
Great to see and hear you, too! Well, at least SC is now reacting - hope they start looking for a challenger to LG for the next election (IIRC, he’s up in 2012 or 2014). They need to hol his feet to the fire on votes and the great citizens of AZ need to do the same with Johnny boy.
Too bad about Rubio’s dad - may he RIP and may God comfort Rubio and his family in their loss.
(Eat your heart out. We dropped into the 50’s overnight here last week. LOL)
You’re right. I said 50’s but I was wrong. Overnight lows almost set a record but missed it, barely, I think.
However, our tomato plants are still putting out fruit.
That would not surprise me at all.
I do like Larry Kudlow however.
Just another great Freeper posted reference, no wonder it’s more popular than MSNBC, people seek truth;
An Industry by Industry Look at the Stimulus Failure
Below, a pic of me and Kaitlyn with Christine back in 2005.
Below, for giggles and grins...a pic of ME with Mike Castle! Heh.
I go just for the entertainment value and don’t have a political hat on(unless they go waaaay overboard) when I watch these shows, gotta have some down time....
Wow must be nice, we wont see that unless ewe have record cold in February or January.
re: Miss Monk
Yep, so do I.
These guys are evidently all hired guns just there to suck so much dough and then go home.
Any data, anyone ?
After last winter’s cold temps I pray you don’t see that again.
Low 70s sounds good to me.
Thanks for that its hard to keep up with everything.
DE and MD
Thanks, yeah we have our problems here in the sunshine state as well. Scott being one. Marco should rise to the occasion,to bad about having our Mike Castle here with Scott.
Here the link from Joe Miller on receiving the endorsement.
Lucky dog, send it this way can you “forward” it?
Thanks....the time is nigh...and yes it would be one of the sweetest wins for CO’D and conservatism and the Tea Party.
“Even Erin Burnett chimes in that the stimulus has actually helped.
ERIN . PLEASE. If you throw a friggn TRILLION dollars at something there will some improvements.....but at what cost?”
Perhaps the Pubbies should start pointing to our neighbors to the north. Canada didn’t throw $s into stimulus and rode it out and Canada has been coming out of its recession (though perhaps theirs wasn’t as bad as ours):
Where’s Miss Marple this morning?
Perhaps she looked at the line-up and opted for better things...lol.
