A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

Sounds like the Keystone Kops are STILL using GW to get their
ratings up...but now from the positive side, because people
are comparing the two of them and GW wins!

Above link is an interview done with President Bush by an Irish television station right after the Iraq war. It has never been shown in the US, to my knowledge, and is hard to find on the net. I ran across this through a link on Twitter.

Well worth watching, because it will show you a president who knows what he is doing, is polite to a very rude interviewer, and who stands up for our country and himself.

I thought everyone here would enjoy it.

And HI SNUGS!!! Glad to see you back!

His expressions while holding people are priceless to say the least. How we miss a president who shows love and compassion toward those who are and have been hurting. Unlike others we have know who only use people for photo ops.

Very touching thread...thanks so much for reminding us what can be and will be in the future.

The President’s braver than I am:

BUSH ON A SUSHI ROLL
Eavesdropping diners at Shinsei say they saw former President George W. Bush try something for the first time.

Monday night, Laura and G.W. came in for dinner with their daughter, Jenna Hager, and friends. The group dined on the Elvis sushi rolls and short ribs. When co-owner Lynae Fearing checked in on the table, Jenna exclaimed how happy she was to get her dad to eat sushi for the first time.
