A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

That impish grin was born when his little sister died .. and GW believed it was his job to make his mother smile.

You’re very welcome, Jewels. Even though he’s been out of office for nearly 4 years, he’s still our President, period.

I don’t give a flying rip of who currently occupies in that White House right now, that impostor is a joke!

My pleasure, onyx. Pres. Bush looks fabulous doesn’t he?

Living life as a private citizen has really rejuvenated him after he served his state and our country for 15 years. So good for him, he deserves to live the rest of his golden years in retirement.

You’re very welcome LUV. I’m sure Dubya doesn’t seem to mind staying away from the presidential race and watching it happily from afar.

He’s got better things to do with his life than to poke his nose in other people’s campaigns or insert himself on whatever “hot” current political news happens to occur on any given day!

You’re very welcome GoldwaterChick. Glad you’re enjoying seeing those photos.

This whole Benghazi debacle would have handled much differently if President Bush were still in charge.

First off, his administration would have ordered high-level security for all embassies around the world on the Sept 11th. anniversary. Who knows, perhaps the US ambassador to Libya and the 4 other employees would still be alive if security measures were in place.

It’s astonishing how the Obama administration were acting as if this was an ordinary drive-by murder rather than treat it as a terrorist attack which they finally admitted weeks later that it was indeed an act of terrorism done by an Al-Queda group. This is exactly why Obama and his cronies need to go on Nov. 6th. Nobody should put up with this incompetent nonsense anymore!

You’re very welcome 4integrity. I feel the same way as you do. Seeing a photo of President Bush’s smiling face is like a ray of sunshine breaking through a cloudy day.

Sounds corny, but given the hostile environment that exists in the political campaign season right now, it’s nice to get away and take some solace and comfort in this thread.

George W. Bush honored with Patriot Award in Houston as $3 million is raised for wounded soldiers

By Shelby Hodge (Culture Map Houston)

Former President George W. Bush basked in the spotlight Wednesday night before a packed house of 2,300 at the Hilton Americas-Houston, where he was honored with the Patriot Award at the Helping a Hero National Gala.

The event raised more than $3 million for the construction of specially-adapted homes for seriously wounded veterans across the country.

"There is no greater cause than supporting those who are willing to sacrifice on our behalf."

Speaking for 20 minutes, an energized, upbeat Bush praised the veterans and their families, who were seated at tables across the patriotically-decorated ballroom. "There is no greater cause than supporting those who are willing to sacrifice on our behalf," he said.

Wonderful, just wonderful. I studied each of GWB’s close ups for what seems like the better part 5 minutes with a smile on my face for what was. Decent, loving, God-fearing, honest patriot who did the best he could with what was dealt him!

Well, I did it. I remembered that on the fifth is the Bushes 35th wedding anniversary. I’ve sent it as a tweet to Laura and Jenna- here’s hoping they see it!

This past Thursday (November 1st), President Bush visited the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic where he gave a keynote speech at the Education and Economic Crisis conference at the Hotel Ambassador. Found these great pictures through some links from Twitter which was NOT published anywhere in the US media.

GW doing his "Miss me yet" wave and grin! :)

Hi everyone, haven’t posted here in awhile, but here’s some new photos of President and Laura Bush enjoying their Thanksgiving at the Dallas Cowboys game Thursday, Nov 22nd. From what I heard, they got a very enthusiastic standing ovation from the crowd and the whole stadium was rocking! Can’t blame them for missing a great couple...
