Would a Muslim burn the Bible? {CNN Lies and Says "NO"}

If you’re trying to understand what burning a Quran would look like to a Muslim, consider this:

“For Christians, Jesus is the word of God. For Muslims, the Quran is the word of God. Imagine someone burning Jesus,” says Emad El-Din Shahin, a religion professor at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.

The Quran teaches Muslims to respect the sacred books of Christians and Jews as well, says Chris van Gorder, a religion professor at Baylor University in Texas.

“To burn a holy Quran for a Muslim is to throw down a gauntlet,” he says. “Those who deface any holy book, including the Bible, in many Muslim countries today, will be executed.

“How many Bibles have been burned in the Muslim world in the last nine years? None.”

So, is CNN saying that the guy who made “Piss Christ” needs to be executed?

Setting aside the clearly fatuous assertion, which your picture eloquently rebuts, to what sura is the learned professor referring?

CORRECTED LINK:

Catholic priests: Palestinians used Bibles for toilet paper" - Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity

Excerpt: "Catholic priests in the church marking the spot where Jesus was believed to have been born said that during the five-week siege, Palestinians tore up some Bibles for toilet paper and removed many valuable sacramental objects, according to a May 15, 2002, report by the Washington Times...."

You can’t bring a Bible into most Muslim countries. We should treat the Quran the same way. You can’t build a Christian Church in Saudi Arabia. We should treat mosques the same way.
When the clueless Mayor Bloomberg, gets on Fox this AM and says that all churches should have the right to be at ground zero, he didn’t mention that the Greek Orthodox church that was there for generations has not been able to rebuild after the attack on 9/11 leveled it. And Steve Doocy, the interviewer, didn’t bring that up. Shame on him.

“Imagine someone burning Jesus”

Actually not burning, but how about whipped and crucified? No need to imagine either.

You can’t build a Christian Church in Saudi Arabia.

Then the argument you usually hear from Muslims and their sympathizers to counter this is "Saudi Arabia is only one country and doesn't represent all Muslims".

Of course, the counter to that is that Saudi Arabia, more to the point, Mecca, is the central point for all Muslim's in the world. It isn't just "another country". It is the "holy place" for all Muslims, enough so that they have to make Hajj to the place.

No one I hear on radio, TV, or (of course) the media seems to use this argument when told that Mecca or Saudi Arabia is only one place, and doesn't represent all Muslims.

Islamic Radicals destroyed the Twin Towers and over 3,000 people died horrifically, they attacked the Pentagon, decapitated Danny Pearl, savaged and hung mutilated bodies of contractors in Iraq, kidnapped and tortured our soldiers in Iraq, burn our flag all the time, and murder Israelis including women and children at will. Sound like a religion of peace to you? All the while, these people celebrated in the streets over these acts and Muslims here refuse to condemn their brothers and sisters committing these acts. Religion of peace?

Anyone who has forgotten 9/11, better watch Fox News today and be reminded of the Islamic Radicals and what they did on 9/11. Be assured Islamic Radicals are plotting more death and horror right now. Anyone willing to give these animals another chance to act again, better get down on their knees and pray that these radicals don’t attack a city or town where they live. Our government, by not sealing our borders, has allowed these people to come here and hide amongst us. If you doubt that, I urge you to ask law enforcement if they don’t know the enemy is here waiting to strike again. Vote on November 2nd to rid this nation of the arrogant, career politicians playing in DC who have refused to seal our borders. These politicians have made us a target 24/7 because of their political correctness and their insatiable thirst for power at the expense of our national security.

God Bless Our Troops who sacrifice 24/7 to keep us safe and who keep us free.

I have a son-in-law on active service and a son in ROTC. I am personally committed to the preservation of this great Republic and advocate at every opportunity for the removal of the current governmental functionaries, who do not even rise to the level of Janissaries (they haven’t the requisite cojones, but do have the necessary lawyerly cadre). There is no more appropriate time for the citizenry to be armed and ready, alert to the danger and alive to the necessity to bear arms in the common defense, even if the officials refuse to command them in that endeavor. Keep your powder dry and your eyes open, my FRiends.

Pray for peace but prepare for war.

When the GZM issue was first raised I started looking up information on sharia law and discovered the site. If we don’t stand firm and fight back then we are toast and I’m afraid it’s sooner than we think.

Here’s a few good sites to keep up with the truth.
