Two Evansville men were arrested early Tuesday morning after a police chase that stemmed from an altercation at an adult nightclub.
Evansville police say one of the suspects fired a gun into the air while leaving the Busy Body Lounge on Columbia Street around 2 a.m.
According to a police report, a dancer at the club claimed one of the men tried to give her two counterfeit $50 bills. An argument ensued and one of the suspects pointed a gun at the dancer and another person. Police say the suspect, Edward Ivy, then got into a black Chevy SUV with another man, Daniel Cook, and fired a shot into the air.
EPD detectives say they found a spent casing at the scene.
The SUV was spotted a short time later and after a chase lasting several minutes, the driver crashed in an alley behind 612 Maxwell Street. A K9 unit caught up to both men and police say Cook punched the police dog several times while being apprehended.

Those dancers have a way with figures.
The real shock about this case is that there was a gun incident in a strip club and, as far as we know, it did not involve anyone from the NFL or the NBA.
