NRA endorses Betsy Markey

The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund endorsed Rep. Betsy Markey,

D-Colo. for re-election this November.

NRA Chief Lobbyist Chris Cox said in a news release that Markey will defend the Second Amendment rights of Colorado gun owners and has demonstrated those rights by her vote for legislation to restore self-defense rights in the nation's capital.

“Betsy has a strong record of supporting Second Amendment rights and has been a tireless advocate for Colorado's hunters and sportsmen. With roughly 11,000 members in the 4th Congressional District, we're very glad to have their endorsement,” said Ben Marter, a spokesman for Markey's campaign.

Markey faces Republican challenger Cory Gardner and two other candidates in the Nov. 2 election.

What the press fails to report is that Cory Gardner, the Republican challenger also answered all of the questions correctly. Once again the NRA bites the hand that feeds them.

My family will not ever send the NRA another cent and will not be going to the Friends of the NRA functions ever again. They are not our friends any more, after endorsing the progressive leftist candidate. They should have kept their nose out of it and done no endorsement whatsoever since it is not an issue in this district. Bye bye NRA, I just scraped their life member stickers off my truck.....

I don’t see how they think endorsing candidates from a party whose primary goal is the destruction of the Constitution is in any way protecting the 2nd Amendment.

Thanks Trteamer. There must be moles in the NRA — unless they’re doing this to HELP her opponent via the backlash...

Anyone who sends the NRA any more money is foolish. No, stupid. We have good alternatives to this once great organization.

They should add a question of whether they’d support a party leadership that was anti-1st Amendment and then they’d have to stop this crap.

I am due a renewal that will not happen. The NRA forgets that these anti-freedom dems most often vote in a block. Dumb-asses.

I can't support any democrat let alone Markey. I have E-mailed her several times and got her form mail return and she did not answer any questions. She was quite underhanded in her last election and bows to the special interest groups in denver that put her in office. Who else had the NRA supported besides Reid and Markey?

And they are not alone in “jumping the shark”, after what has been happening during this GOP primary season. The “Elitist GOP”, the “Establishment GOP”, and all non-conservative members of the GOP has been exposed, as have those in the media and entertainment world, who have, either, GOP “Elitism”, or those who are, mostly pro-GOP, but not fully with social conservatism/far-right conservatism.

As I’ve said here many times, the NRA lost me when they endorsed John Murtha again in 2008. Endorsing any Democrat is endorsing keeping Pelosi as Speaker. And when push comes to shove they will vote how Nancy tells them to.

The NRA couldve simply rated the candidates. This is clearly a smack after the Reid flap. It is unecessary and stupid.

This liberal b***h also “pretends” to support the military. She sent my veteran husband a silly letter on how she greatly “supports the military” and is there for him.

Her commercials all talk about how she is going to stop the “excessive spending” coming out of Washington DC. SHE voted for the outragious heath care bill but she is now pretending that didn’t happen.

She is pretending that she is a middle of the road Democrat. She is a left wing liberal. Don’t be fooled.

The NRA will NEVER get a dime from us after this endorsement. Maybe the NRA likes to pretend what they believe too?

There are NO good democrats anymore. We learned that during health crimes. Those demtards who voted against it only did so when Pelosi allowed them to b/c she had enough votes & they were in trouble with their voters.

There are plenty of lousy republicans, but absolutely NO good demtards. None. Nobody should support any demtard.
