Former Marine and veteran Peter Parente lost his Marine Corps "Gunny" Sergeant, NYPD Sergeant Michael Sean Curtin of Rescue Truck 2 in the World Trade Center. He spoke with Steve Malzberg today. Within days after 9/11, Parente was part of crew that recovered the strut from United Airlines Flight 175 from where a mosque would now replace the former Burlington Coat Factory. He says, "That is 100% Ground Zero. It was Ground Zero that day and its still Ground Zero today. There was death in the air; I could smell it, I could taste it inside that building." Who gave the muslims a certificate of occupancy to hold prayer meetings in that building?
I have faith it will never be built.
I have faith that our Dear Leader has vowed to Imam Ralph that it will be built.
