Since when do the laws apply to dems, especially Chicago dems.

So what. They have ways of dealing with lawyers like that in Chicago.

But if this stands up, and in the current environment, if Fox were to make any kind of point about it, it would, it would be massively and hilariously ironic.

But even it it doesn’t, there’s Rahm, having blatantly flouted the law, sitting there in the Chicago mayor’s office, albatross for exactly how lawless and outlaw the Dems really are.

Guaranteed that won’t stop him. They’ve already looked into it and it’s been “arranged”. He wouldn’t step down and go to Chicago just because of some silly law.

(1) Somebody signs an official statement saying he’s eligible.
(2) Somebody with sufficient standing can sue, if they decide suing is a good decision.

I want the fudgepacker to run, because I want to see him lose, and he will.

This is Chicago, where the law is, shall we say, flexible?

I remember reading something similar about some other politician that was ineligible to to run for a particular office and he was elected anyway...

All misdirection:

He is working full time to drag the mob banker Gianoulias over the finish line in order to guarantee a pliable senate during the lame duck session

Additionally, it is expected his name will be prominent in the upcoming Blagojevich re trial in January. He needs time to prepare his defense and testimony

It ought to be interesting to see if "Chicago thuggery politics" will prevail. Blatant disregard for the Rule of Law has become the norm in many cities across the nation (sanctuary cities).

Those in charge of overlooking laws on the books on the local and state levels in our nation's cities need to be replaced along with our corrupt congress.

Despite the law, he’ll run, and no matter what the vote is, he’ll win. It’s Chicago.
