By Their Trash We Shall Know Them
Lubbock Online ^ | October 3, 2010

Personal responsibility is demonstrated in many ways. Picking up one’s trash after an event is a demonstrated characteristic of personal responsibility. On Saturday the Socialists marched on Washington to demonstrate their support for Barack Obama and the current Socialist controlled Congress. Thousands of people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial for a march to call for One Nation Working Together that featured civil rights leaders, labor leaders, environmental and peace activists, faith leaders and celebrities with the intent of voicing concerns on jobs, for justice, immigration reform and for education for all.

When they departed, they left the Mall covered with garbage.

Good Sense Politics has comparison photographs of the Obama Inauguration and the September 12, 2009, TEA Party in Washington, DC. The Obama Inauguration was attended by 1.8 million people who left behind 100 tons of trash. The TEA Party was attended by more than a million people who left the ground cleaner than before the TEA Party began. This has been true of TEA Parties and other Conservative gatherings across our nation.

How people handle their trash tells much about how people view their obligations to society and to others. One group leaves trash behind and appears to care nothing for those who follow. The other group seeks to leave what they found in better condition for those who will follow.

What does each of these political groups leave behind when they are in charge of spending money and passing laws? Our National Debt and a bloated government bureaucracy are trash that our current Administration is accumulating and willfully dumping on future generations.

It is time to clean the accumulated political trash from Washington and our state capitals.

Dig it, I always relate to that old tv commercial of the American Indian shedding a tear at seeing the litterbug.

You mean that Italian-American, Espera Oscar de Corti, who called himself Iron Eyes Cody. Never trust anything produced by Hollywood, even (especially) commercials.

Dagnabit A.A.. you beat me to it. I knew I should have read the entire thread before posting about ole Iron Eyes’ real name and heritage. Most FReepers are way more aware and have greater knowledge bases than regular citizens, but I tend to forget that.

Gasp, you mean Iron Eyes Cody WAS A FAKE? I am devestated! I can never look at movies or Indians again the same way!

I've heard that it was a running joke in Hollywood that virtually all movie indians were members of the A-wop-aho (a pun on Arapaho) tribe as most actors used for those roles were Italians.

Wow... PERFECT comparison and animation of the 8/28 rally and the 10/2 commie one!

We were at the Beck 8/28 rally, and it was incredible (as was 9/12/09 in DC).

I can tell you for a fact that in the Beck photo, there were people crowded blanket-to-blanket under each and every tree you see in the pic. It was a HOT day in DC on 8/28/10. So there were even far more people at the 8/28 rally than you can see in the photo.

And everyone was kind, polite and helpful to people who had trouble walking, were in wheelchairs, etc. AND we picked up every last bit of our trash - as usual. The DC Park Police are always stunned that crowds as large as ours leaves behind NO trash. ;-)

Good short article about the 10/2/10 "One Nation" socialist/communist rally in DC.

Don't miss Matchett-PI's excellent animated graphic in #12 comparing the 10/2 crowd on the Mall with the crowd at Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally on 8/28/10.

It’s not just that they left their garbage, but it’s where they left it. Such disrespect and dishonor has no place in American government.

Just following the lead of their god, BenitObama.

Last night on the DU there were those saying they had twice as many as the 8/28 rally.

^^
Well, let’s give them a pass; they can’t count and they can’t think.
