If she stays home, Kassay says, she will be forced to play catch-up and make up her school assignments. But if she goes to school, she will be neglecting what she feels is her religious obligation on holidays such as Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan Life's a b!tch, find a religion that helps you better cope with it missy.

Maybe students should have personal leave days, like employees do. Then they could decide what days to take off, with provision to make up the work missed - stay late another day and take a test, for instance.

If the school is private, who cares. Otherwise they need to assimilate.

Granted education is public....and paid for by tax dollars....so government should decide in education....our children's best interests....
