How much it would be worth in a 401 k is neither here nor there. Remember, a 401k does not offer you insurance for your family and children from day 1.
I’m certainly not calling SS some great deal financially. But one reason it is not is because it overpays some and under pays others.
Most older folks today (70 +) will get back much more than they and their employer ever payed in.
Your mindsdet seems to be that anyone who ever paid in a cent should be forever entitled to a lifetime of raises.
