Yes,but nothing anywhere near what they would receive if the money had been invested in their own names and never pilfered by the Federal Government.... people speak of it as entitlements like welfare, it is not welfare, it is our money and the government pilfered it and spent it and now they owe it to us and it’s gone..... stolen.

Damn straight!

The Federal Government held a gun to my head from my very first job of $5/day making me pay SS and my employer match it with funds that COULD have gone to me and made my life a lot easier as a perpetually starved (food and love) teenager who liked to date and eat.

And the same for every job I've had where the money has been stolen from me before I could even cash my paycheck. Again, the matching funds could have been better utilized by me caring for my family.

And then these "stolen" wages were taxed by Democrats, dumped into the general fund by Democrats, replaced with IOU's in the general fund by Democrats and used as a carrot and stick by Democrats to baffle and BS senile seniors that only Democrats could be trusted to protect it.

Yep, it was stolen. And there is no way to bring it back.

We can't un-spend what was spent in past decades.

So it's either (1) bump the taxes way way up on those of working age, or (2) admit that the money is gone, and start getting over it.

Which do you prefer??

My husband and I paid into Social Security for a total of 60 years. The US Gov. is treating us as if we are taking their money. How dare they treat us as dependents, we were the contributers.
